Guitar Challenge - Play your favorite short lick or riff here!

Thanks again! Another reason I like this riff is that it forms a great backing track for soloing… And both major and minor pentatonics fit very nicely. I often record it, play in a loop and practice soloing over it

Hi,

I can now use this in many ways and quickly became one of my favorites  … And today after an hour of practicing for the answer … because the first part is from Justin unit 4 (C shape) …but I just need the answer right away  .

And this one is easy to fill a 2-minute backing track with ,so many minor variations possible :sunglasses: Or take out small pieces that are licks on themselves…

It doesn’t happen often that the first recording is also the one I post, but the hour of practicing and squeezing out this lick beforehand the recording contributed to this …
very happy with that because I never had to use my cord again since today after 2 years in 10 days … and that driving back and forth with cable is …beep

Hopefully there’s something to steal here for some of you :sunglasses:

Greetings,Rogier

Sounding good Roger !

Hours of practice, I can well believe that, as I have just added that to the end of the U4 Medley, which I’ve been building lick by lick for the last hour myself !

Blim the gift that keeps giving !

I like that one Rogier! You make it sound so easy. I guess that’s the hour’s practice eh?

Is that from great British Blues blimmers? :grinning: Sounds good… Nice energy. If you were to decide… How would it continue?

Thank you very much Toby @TheMadman_tobyjenner and Mari @Mari63 and Nicole @JokuMuu

very small correction in the word hours  …BUT… only because with different licks in recent years I did many many many

and

I have no idea (I’m sure you do too), but there is 1 lesson with 10 licks in each unit, which is comparable to the lessons on the website with the 5 blues licks in each 5 shapes (CAGED)…

Although this is part of a medley that you could learn in one and what several people do, but for me there are always a few not so nice ones, so I don’t want that in my ears… I like it small and simple, and with improve backing later see what remains. (
Oh yes, the brain capacity is also limited to put everything in within a week (or even 4 weeks with everything I have to learn in between, I am certainly not only working on blues … or even guitar )

Greetings all

@roger_holland I loved that! Roger, do you happen to have a link handy to Justin’s Mayfield & Hendrix Rhythm Style? Is this a section in one of Justin’s 8 levels of courses? Or is it an independent course? Or from a series of song lessons?
