Have guitar, will travel, but without Justin’s lessons. Edit : Now in France! 🇫🇷

Hmm… While in the sauna, I can still use the guitar as percussion instrument if nothing else, in the hot tub… Depends how big the tub is. Maybe as a small boat :canoe:?

I’ve played guitar when sitting on the side of a hot tub with no ill effects to the guitar.

Too much information Rick! :joy:. My holiday reading is currently Keith Richards autobiography. Sounds like the sort of thing he’d do.

I was thinking perhaps it’s drying out a bit and shrinking. Anyway, I think things are improving and I’m keeping it out of direct sun. Glad I didn’t bring the D28!

It would take more than a few days for your guitar to dry out enough to affect it that much. Just keep playing it and it will come around. According to google the humidity in Normandy right now is 63% so shouldn’t have to worry at all.

And the more you drink that whisky the better it will sound

Nearer 75% down where Gordon is right now, The Vendee coast is about 280km (South South West) and 3 hrs from me. :sunglasses:

We got scorchio high 20s C sun until the weekend, then some thunder due. Just put the loud pipes back on at the weekend and did a 35km rattle test today. Just bimbling along at 80 kpm, 50 mph ish ? Missus instructed me to repeat tomorrow, so just sorted a 90km circuit !!
A ride to the Vendee would be cool but there and back and an hour with Gordon would be a good chunk of a day. And that’s if I stayed away from his malt stash !! Think the other half may do an anti-Fonzie on that idea!. So sticking to local routes for now. Happy Wife Happy Life. :sunglasses:

I have to say the Balvenie Double Wood is decent. I have a bottle stashed at my local.

Cheers,

It’s not just guitar of course. Here I am with my French cycling buddies on the campsite cycle run.
Spot the guy without a ‘Tour de France‘ top. The guy in the yellow, René, is 82! Thank goodness I brought my electric bike! They were all jealous as I zoomed up the hills ahead of them. They then overtook me downhill at 40 mph. :joy:

If you’d been eating your escargot (as you should!) you’d have so much energy you wouldn’t need that electric bike.:wink::wink:

Good to see that you are having fun on your holidays though I can’t believe an 82 year old over took you when you were on an electric bike. Smh.
