Hi from Nicole from Austria (not Australia šŸ˜€ )

Thank you. I even have this book.

Great .

Just watched the video again from classical gas. The tabs on ultimate guitar are wrong and I did pay for pro.

Have you already told them, that thereā€˜s something wrong with the chords? They will correct it, probably .

Yes! After a somewhat extended hiatus, I had most recently decided to go back through Justinā€™s lessons from the beginning. The first time around when I had ā€œpassedā€ grade 1 I had ostensibly memorized 5 songs, but I quickly forgot them after that. This time around Iā€™m taking the memorization more seriously and am also making sure to use songs I really care about (and that arenā€™t necessarily the ā€˜simplestā€™ songs, as a result) and I think because of that Iā€™m making better progress with actually committing them to memory long term

No because I donā€™t know what is exactly wrong.

My strategy for now is, to focus on my 5 songs I want to memorize before passing Grade 1. So Iā€™m mainly practicing them. But also playing along some other songs, when I feel itā€™s time for a little alternationā€¦ That is a great idea

When you have problems with chord changes I can recommend the One minute changer app.

Right, same here. 3 of the 5 songs are from the website and the other 2 arenā€˜t. I also want to memorize songs I really like playing (and singing :speak_no_evil:), even if they are a bit difficult. And yeah, I hope by playing them repeatedly over the next months/year, they will forever stick in my old brain .

At the moment, itā€˜s not so bad. Iā€˜m practicing the ā€šproblematic onesā€˜ with my daily practice routine, and focus on both - quality and quantity. But thanks for your hint. It might be very useful with new, and more difficult chord changes :slightly_smiling_face:.

I would inform them anyway. Iā€˜m quite sure, they can figure out whatā€˜s wrong .

Welcome Nicole! I know just what you mean. There are so many songs I want to play. It can be overwhelming.

Absolutely, Michael :grinning:.

Hi Nicole, welcome. I think is important to grow that repertoire of songs that can be played confidently and then be able to feel I am a (beginner, intermediate, advanced) guitar player.

Here is the songsterr tab of Tommyā€™s Version. I canā€™t vouch for the accuracy.
