Never too late, follow Justin’s grades courses and record yourself for self evaluation or post them for feedback, it really will help. Enjoy your guitqr journey!

Never too late. There are many people older than you here.

Hi Steve
Welcome to the community! A friendly and supportive place
You’re in a great place for learning with JustinGuitar too.
I think everybody feels a bit frustrated with it sometimes, so you won’t be alone.
I’ve also noticed that most people seem to think they’ve started too late/ wish they started younger, no matter what age they are when they start. It’s never too late

Welcome to the forum. I started way later than I now wish I had. Once you get the buzz from the great reward that is playing tunes on your own, you realize it wasn’t that hard after all. Hang in there, it’s worth it.

Welcome!

Hi Avalon426

Many thanks for your welcome, that’s very kind of you!. Let’s just hope my frustrations dissipate over time. I do feel far more inclined to persevere this time, and work through the difficulties that will undoubtedly occur. I did attempt guitar back in my teens which was a long time ago; but I was young and less committed way back then (there was always something more important to attend to back then )…Anyway, let’s see how, and if I progress on my journey. Thanks again for your kind welcome to the forum - it’s good to make new friends…

Kind regards

Steve …Wales, UK

Hi Steve,
Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

The only frustration I have experienced over the past almost 6 years is a few days/weeks that I could not play due to physical problems … for the rest, I and many others with me do this just for fun :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: and every day is a day that I am better than the day before and therefore a good day

Greetings,Rogier

Hi Roger

Many thanks for your welcome Roger. I think my problem is going to be overdoing the practice and expecting instant results - but I do know it doesn’t work like that. Need patience to counteract frustrations

Thanks again for your welcome
Steve .

Welcome Steve - you’ll like it here. And remember, when in doubt, buy another guitar.

Cheers GrumpyMac!

Cheers scottasaigon … I’m sure hope so…and yeah, one that will preferably play a (recognisable) tune! :musical_notes:

Croeso Steve. I am just a few years older and also recently returning to guitar after a long long break. Now have the time to practice etc - and this is a great site with lots of support also available. Also in Wales - Cardiff. Good luck and enjoy😊
