How do I keep my wild pinkie under control when playing scales?

Hi, this may have been covered elsewhere in this thread. If it has excuse my naivety. How do I keep my wild pinkie finger on my fret hand from going all over the place when playing scales?

play very slowly, making sure to keep it in control. Speed up as you can, but slow back down if it goes wild again. Initially this may mean you are annoyingly slow, but getting the brain to change will take some dedicated concentration. I like to think of my movements being economical - don’t use muscles I do not need for the task.

I would suggest “spider” exercises. There are several of those, main theme being keeping all four fingers pressed almost all the time.
