I 100% relate to the shyness, singing softly, etc. My girlfriend gives similar comments.
But I really struggle with staying in tune when I sing louder. Like, I can totally yell but then I get super pitchy and uncontrolled. I might simply need more practice with it, though.
By the way, I just watched your video in your post Hello from Rem. That was amazing! You’re definitely better than amateur. Could I ask how you got such a clean recording of your acoustic guitar while singing? Are you using two mics?
