I’m coming to this series several years late but I am glad I did. It’s a really wonderful glimpse into the struggle and the success of learning the instrument. Credit to Lee for participating in it and putting himself out there, and of course to Justin for being the great one-on-one teacher that many of us wish we had.
I’m learning so much—a lot of the things Lee asks after are things that I have had difficulty with myself, and as much as I like “one-way” YouTube videos it’s really refreshing to see an actual interaction with back-and-forth conversations.
Are there any other series (by Justin or others) that are a similar format, of a teacher working with a student through things?

Well David
I have mixed feelings about it …
Those series cost me thousands of euros … accidentally saw it on YouTube … that Justin guy seemed okay to me and …
well 1 amplifier and a few guitars, a lot of stuff around it and also courses and much more further now
Greetings
Edit : Have you see those with Tammy allready ?

Yeah I enjoyed them… I’m thinking of doing some more lessons where I help people - but rather than just one person - it’ll be more of a community thing!

That would be amazing! Hope that comes to fruition.
I hadn’t seen those—thanks!

@djdrysdale Hello David, I really like this series too! I bumped into that because I had some rut in the past and Justin did great rut busting series with Captain.
When it comes to help others - Justin is trying something new in the topic on the link. Asking students to record short footage of your struggle and he could help. Sounds really interesting.

I really enjoyed the Captain’s Privates series, but I also found it a little depressing. It made me realise what a GOOD music teacher looks like. I must have had more than a dozen teachers over the decades (piano, violin, guitar) and not once did anyone ever ask me how much practice time I had each day, and then clearly set out how I should be dividing it up to make the most of my time.
