I bounce back and forth between acoustic and electric too depending on the lesson. Not sure about where in the middle would be good. Maybe a park and bring acoustics? We aren’t that far apart. I’m in Chandler/Tempe area. Musically I like rock, pop, 80s, grunge. Really a bit of everything. My songs I’m practicing right now are Joey/concrete blonde, wonderwall/oasis and what’s up/4 non blondes. I am working on singing these and playing rhythm at the same time. Not very good yet but enjoy it. And def not a great singer. Justin recommends three campfire songs, easy songs to play and sing and these are my three for now. I’ve just started to practice She sells sanctuary by The Cult too, but only into it a few bars. But I would be happy to start learning a song so that we could play together.
