Registration is open to add your name to the list of performers at the next JustinGuitar Community Open Mic #39.

NOTE

Please ensure you fully meet the JGC OM Performer Criteria for Open Mics, as detailed in this Call For Interest (CFI) and in the links below. Performer slots are available according to the following criteria.

  • We ask that performers be actively engaged members who embody the positive and supportive pay-it-forward ethos we have long nurtured within the Community.
  • We ask that performers have made an Introductory topic, ideally including some information about their learning path with JustinGuitar.
  • We ask that performers have shared recent audio-video of their playing in the Community Recordings section.*
  • We ask that performers have previously attended Open Mics as an audience member or performer.

Performers

  • There are, nominally, up to 15 performer slots available with an opportunity to play 1 or 2 songs. The number may be expanded if needed. Please reply stating your wish to be considered for a slot.
  • Please state your location & UTC time zone - helpful when planning the order for performers.
  • Performer slots are not allocated on a first-come first-served basis but there is a deadline.
  • The performer application window closes approximately one week prior to the event after which a final list of performers will be published and performers will be included in a private messaging to arrange further.

Audience registration
Getting a seat in the audience is simple. Just reply to this thread stating your wish to attend. The Zoom link will be distributed before the event.

OK, Richard - hopefully my withdrawl from OM38 will not be held against me. Pressure has eased - I started working on some songs. So please put my name on the Performer list. Usual caveats apply.

BTW, I thought 30 was starting at a different time?

For the first time in a long time, I can make this one. Can I have a performer slot please @Richard_close2u ?

If possible I’d like to do 2 songs, but understand this is dependent on the number of performers.

I’m UTC + 1 (or at least I think I am in the UK during summer time🤔)

I would like to sign up for this event for 1 or 2 songs. This would be my first time performing my guitar i from of the Justin community live in a non blim event. I dont know if I am allowed or not. I have not done a first timer open mic yet, but I have attended some of the open mics as an audience member.

Also I have something coming up that I can not explain atm but It may interfere with my physical ability to be able to play guitar or anything for a while. But I am determined to do one of these live open mics.

It’s totally fine, you are most welcome Jason. You meet the pre-requisites ie shared AVOYPs and attended OMs in the audience. Hope nothing does happen that interferes.

Please pencil me in Richard. I’m not sure I can have something new ready in that timeframe but will give it a go!

Might try playing over a backing track this time, or perhaps just the guitar parts of a more challenging song (is this acceptable?)
