Registration is open to add your name to the list of performers at the next JustinGuitar Community Open Mic #40.

NOTE

Please ensure you fully meet the JGC OM Performer Criteria for Open Mics, as detailed in this Call For Interest (CFI) and in the links below. Performer slots are available according to the following criteria.

  • We ask that performers be actively engaged members who embody the positive and supportive pay-it-forward ethos we have long nurtured within the Community.
  • We ask that performers have made an Introductory topic, ideally including some information about their learning path with JustinGuitar.
  • We ask that performers have shared recent audio-video of their playing in the Community Recordings section.*
  • We ask that performers have previously attended Open Mics as an audience member or performer.

Performers

  • There are, nominally, up to 15 performer slots available with an opportunity to play 1 or 2 songs. The number may be expanded if needed. Please reply stating your wish to be considered for a slot.
  • Please state your location & UTC time zone - helpful when planning the order for performers.
  • Performer slots are not allocated on a first-come first-served basis but there is a deadline.
  • The performer application window closes approximately one week prior to the event after which a final list of performers will be published and performers will be included in a private messaging to arrange further.

Audience registration
Getting a seat in the audience is simple. Just reply to this thread stating your wish to attend. The Zoom link will be distributed before the event.

If more people are able to perform on that date we will switch it from the original 06 June.

Update - the date is now July, not June.

Currently, we have only three performers. Hopefully that increases very soon or we may need to consider pushing the date round one more or reverting to our normal time slot.

Richard, since I got back into the swing of things, my setup is now pretty quick. Planned to attend, support in usual way, like OM38, but if pushed for numbers, I’m OK to perform. As you know, I am a big fan of the earlier OM to accommodate the folks out east.

I assume we have a list of all who have performed at OMs before that we could reach out directly?

Hi Richard,

as this timing would not interfere with my kid’s sleep, I’m pondering the option of performing for this OM. Though, unfortunately can’t stay for the whole event (as it will interfere with the kiddo’s lunch - he won’t permit that :rofl:). So please put my name on the list of performers. Of course I’m happy to step aside if lots of other folks apply. Thanks :slight_smile:

oh, during summer holidays! Either I’ll be on vacation with my family (have to check the dates again) or working - both not a setting to follow it live :frowning:
I’d sure like to watch you antipodes (and a few other nice people) performing! :slight_smile:

Could you still reserve a seat in the audience for me, please - and I’ll try my best to make it to the live session!
