Played set fire to the rain by Adele level 3 , still that problem with the D chord not being recognized
I don t know if its coming me or the app having an issue
I think its the app

Its not perfect and I make some mistakes in each songs ( that why I still train on it ) but its coming along nicely and I thought it would be harder to follow the metronome , even if its not perfect , its not a catastrophe either !
I m just a little bit early or late sometimes , but nothing major , most of the time its in time

I feel like a child removing the little wheels on his bike

I tried to play the riff while listening to the song on spotify
Not the strumming part but the picking
Good training to get a sense of the rythm for this riff

Watched the video Notes In Open Position in module 8
Got to add this to my practice session , and up my tempo on the all-down 8th note strumming ( I train at 70 bpm , must up it to 80 bpm )
never tried the Em Pentatonic Scale with a metronome , I should try it too

Well done on these extra long sessions you do. I never play that long and maybe I should (at least occasionally) if I’m going to progress. As it is I’m on holiday for a few days, without a guitar, so practice time of zero minutes for four consecutive days!

I did the opposite of you , I played a lot because i had 2 days off work

Now that i m back behind my desk i don t know how i will train on all that stuff

Well … Tears for fears is way too fast for me … I shouldnt try playing stuff beyond my curent level too soon so i removed it from my list and tried another song instead
Played Fields of gold level 4 instead ( training for strumming on F major 7 with a C bass )
It was easier and it is still a good training for the F chord
I ll stop training on REM ( losing my religion ) i play it fairly well now and replace it by fields of gold
I play REM well when my hand does the F chord correctly … Thats why I need to keep on practicing this chord

I started the Hammer ons lesson and did an exercise

grade 2 in JG :

I can follow the song quite well ( picking only )
should i try the strumming pattern on the song too or just the picking like I do ?

Practiced on the strumming machine for All Down 8th Note Strumming at 80 bpm
( Em E D Dm Am A G C ) for 5 minutes

I started grade 2 module 9 by watching the F chord video and the F chord cheats video
I just wanted to watch and couldnt resist trying to play the F chord
I did this little video with my tablet to show how it turned out
I buzz the strings a bit but its not too bad for a first try , I guess my work on the F major 7/C helped

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAuYxKdPwYw

I practice the F chord for 5 minutes and got it to ring well
For a first attempt im really glad

I do have a question though
I already practiced F major7/C for 2 months now and i can use it in songs
Should i train and learn the other forms too ? ( F major and mini F )
Or should i focus on only Fmajor/C and F ?
isnt it too much to learn 4 forms of F at once ?
