I moved my desk and gear into another room and created a nice little space for playing
the amp cabinet is behind the orange door in the library
the only problem in my space is the heat from my computer … the room is small so next summer Ill cook in an oven

still lots of pain in my right arm and in my back ( and headaches )
I was very frustrated when I was playing yesterday because of that
and I have a pain in my left leg now that does not go away too
I feel like I will have to go see the doc about it
its probably my back again

this morning the lesson was on scales !
the scale that has the same root note as Born under a bad sign
major and minor
Scales are easy to play alone , more difficult to link them together
to understand how to link them
Its a higher level of music theory than I have at the moment so maybe I should buy a book on the subject ( and watch the lessons on JG )
no guitar lessons for the next 2 weeks since its the holidays but I have homework to do

FYI, this is the C major blues scale, which is the C major pentatonic with the blue note (b3) added in. The “C major scale” is something slightly different. I just mention it, so you get the terminology right.
BTW, compliments on your determination and constancy in your practice. It’s very impressive.

If I go out of my house , I dont play … its one or the other
so since I went out to the supermarket ( instead of being delivred at home ) I was supposed to take a day off

Just to work on the blues solo for beginners
Im completely addicted to learning the blues
From JG I ve learned the minor pentatonic shape 1 and hammers on
From Yousician I’ve learned the pulls off
From Marcus , my teacher , I’ve learned to bend and the minor pentatonic shape 2
Then it hit me : I must gather all these technics together ( since I know them )
easier said then done !
so far I was only practicing JG stuff on JG lessons , YS stuff on YS songs etc
so when I was asked to improvise , I felt lost
Since I had trouble understanding what I was supposed to do as a beginner , i searched a bit on the internet and I found a website called Happy bluesman
I watched some videos and decided to try a subscription for a month to test it
Maybe it will help me to put everything together
so tonight I just watched some videos and then took my guitar to learn my first lick
it felt great and I used all the technics i know
I was really not good at improvising because I felt lost , I hope I will get better
Are you thinking of doing one of Justin’s blues courses? He seems really into the blues currently. A lot of people are, actually, there must be a blues season just like there’s a flu season.
