Thanks CDO2!
NAh, lets leave those back up vocals down low in the mix, lol.
Ok, youve been inspired so lets get collaborating! Thanks again.
definately not, they always sound greatā:+1:
Dominique what have you done ?
Your first and then starting like this is setting the bar very highā¦
I think your voice is very pleasant with this and it fits fantastically with the very fine singing voice of Allison ā¦ wonderful instrument stuff etc and the solo is really really enjoyable too, Allisonā¦
As Jeniffer indicates, there is certainly more to be achieved, but my goodness, there must still be something left for later collaborations
Greetings
Really enjoyed this one folks
What a fantastic debut collaboration between you two!
No niggles here on the song and performance front. My only suggestion would be if you go to the trouble of putting it all together, Iād go the extra mile and add even just a simple picture you like. (Iām a visual guy). Iād also add the lyrics. You can use the hide function if you donāt want them āout thereā. Finally Iād write the credits down instead of āAly did everything elseā
What a partnership!
Congrats
Top marks guys, that was really great! Voice worked perfectly for me, great production.
Fabulous Dominique and Allison, that was lovely. Such a chilled vibe. Vocal worked so well. Great tones, cool lead. Maybe the backing vocal could have been a wee bit louder in the mix as I heard it on my gaming headset (but that can also be the headset not great on those higher frequencies).
Bravo. Hope we hear more from the two of you.
I hope Dominique is reading all these rave reviews! Heās so humble & he has no idea how talented he is!
Thank you for the glowing words!
Yeah, whereās my credits, lol, just kidding.
I like the idea of a picture & posting the lyrics too.
Thank you for listening & all the feedback!.
Thank you so much ! Appreciate you taking the time to listen!
Thanks David!
I hope we do more as well.
Thanks for your support & compliments!
Super collaborative effort there guys, I enjoyed that a lot. Well done.
Thanks a bunch Sairfingers ! Glad you liked it
@sairfingers Im having difficulty with the site & replyingā¦trying again a different way.
Oh no - I havenāt been away for such a long time!
I was reading a few comments on the tablet yesterday , but I donāt like typing on it!
I am very much appreciating that youāve taken the time to listen to our song!
Thank you, Pamela! I also keep your renditions and your collab in good memory!
Thank you, Phil! I remember you from your progressive rock piece - just the thread next door so to say - where you played all kinds of intruments!
Thanks a lot, Jennifer! Yes, there could be some change, contrast somewhere.
I think that Allison kept the song simple on purpose, so it would be easier for me on my first collab.
singing āgreatā - oh, wellā¦
And - beginner? Iām pretty much new to songwriting. And collab for sure!
Recorded some musical bits when trying to learn the piano on a masterkeyboard around 2000 or so. So I wasnāt a beginner in terms or recording musical bits to a DAW.
After I learned a bit of guitar, I reinstalled a DAW and recently upgraded it, and then watched a few videos on recording, effects and mixing, but I feel like I nearly know nothing
But Iām really glad to learn the guitar and now I feel like songwriting is achievable!
And you played a part in that! Thanks again, Allison!
Thanks a lot, Hec, my friend!
Thank you Eddie! I just see youāve got a lot of recorded songs and Iāll check them out!
Thanks a lot, Tod! And Iām also thankful for your critique!
I didnāt find it easy to mix. Put the vocals like they sounded right, next time, I thought Iād have to adjust this track, then that, and so on. It wasnāt because of the insecurity with my vocals. It felt ok to me, but I wasnāt sure about it.
I need to go back to learning a bit more on it and need more practice, probably. And I feel Iāll do more of this thing, so practice will increase anyway soon!
Iām glad you checked it out! And thanks a lot for your nice words, Constance!
Thanks a lot, Craig! Next time, Iāll try to find a better balance with the backing vocals!
And - donāt miss your invitation above! Ok, not, if you really donāt feel like it.
But honestly, Iām convinced youād come up with something nice!
And even - if you wouldnāt be entirely happy, this is still a great learning experience!
Well done Dom and Alykat, lovely song! I love that instrumental in the middle, wonderful melody, fitting perfectly the song.
Rogier, your comments are always incredibly nice! Thanks a lot!
Fortunately you leave some space for potential improvement!
Thereās also a silly BLIM song (from me alone) in the BLIM only AVOYP section if your mood is too good and you can take some bad stuff, haha
Thanks a lot, Brian! Itās much appreciated!
Youāre right! I was too fast when writing this and those credits werenāt something to skip! Iāll correct it!
What do you mean by āpictureā? Put it on youtube as a video with sliding pictures, or so?
Iām not as good with video as you are! Still remember your cover with that hairdresser scene! Marvelous!
Thank you so much, Paul! I rarely had those while studying, certainly not in maths, but at least now from you!
Thank you, David!
Me too, I hope it! Maybe not tomorrow, but one fine day hopefully!
And I appreciate the hint on the volume balance! It had been mentioned before, so youāre not the only one!
Oh, I canāt take that much! Enough now
Thank you very much, Gordon!
Thanks a lot for checking our song out, Boris! Yeah, that instrumental was Allison, of course! But Iām in to improve on my abilities in this regard as you know! See you soon!
Iām not up to that yet (just avoyps etc), but Iām trying to write a song with Dominique at the moment. My lyrics game is slooow. Iām blaming insomnia rather than ineptitude lol.
Now, that was a great first original. Itās not easy to come up with good lyrics, melody, and arrangement. I think you hit your vision very well. To me, originals are very personal, so I wouldnāt make any suggestion for changes (apart from bumping up the backing vocals), plus I think itās good the way it is already. So something you should be very proud of producing. Well done, both of you.
Thank you so much Boris, the middle part is me faking it-pretending to play lead guitar
Well good luck !
Let me know if I can help, maybe bounce some ideas aroundā¦ its completely up to you.
