That’s what singers do when they sing, the emotion shows in their faces and bodies…e- motion, there’s a motion…and…Singing… that’s what I was doing, within myself and trying to bring it out through the guitar
This is what I do Jason and Dominique @Ontime@domi7 …
Thank you both so much for letting me know…it means so much!
Because it was all Damn Difficult! To the smile of satisfaction I will add a couple of glasses of wine in the weekend …cheers!
Sylvia strikes again.
Your inventiveness and enthusiasm shine particularly brightly in this one
You’ve ploughed your own unique furrow through this forum and are producing fabulous fruit!
Bravo!
(Mind you, I can’t get the touchy-feely-Maharishi out of my head now… )
Oh no Brian! All my life I imagined this amazing beautiful woman and now Google tells me she had the face of a goat…oh sorry for this…I hope no one will take offence…but I’m dissapointed
I think I need a break from myself now…but Thank you
done that very exceptionally but not on purpose, although (only before I start) but I can’t avoid it even with popular pieces to hear them here ore else where…
I just did a better one, I actually just looked back at an “old” recording of myself from 22 days ago that Canon in D to compare whether I had made some progress because I became a bit uhh when I listened to the teachers tutorial … ai ai , but now I know that I have made a good jump (I knew), but really bigger than expected, and this is the first time that I have recorded myself so early in the process…
Ha ha, that’s better than what you did when you are already finished , but I totally understand you…
Taking a short break is good ,I see you typed that
Hehe, we must be reading different fake news/rumours
The story I read was that the song John wrote was originally called Maharishi, and was a ‘diss’ track- John being disappointed in his behaviour, and George persuaded him to change the title and some lyrics
But you have a given arrangement to play Rogier, that’s different, you know at the end what it would sound like, unless you want to play around it a bit. I didn’t know what my Sexy Sadie would sound like…and she is very different from the other arrangements…but I’m not dissapointed at all…when I listen to it I listen to myself and I listen to where I am at the moment in my journey and I’m happy …only I didn’t expect she would please other people’s ears this way.
I can ('t) wait for your Canon in D! I’ll wait patiently
Lovely to enjoy you playing, Silvia, and bravo on the transcribing and composition. Sounds amazing to me. But must be totally transparent, I am not a big Beatles fan and no idea if I have ever even listened to the original as I tend to prefer the earlier Beatles music to the later years when I suspect this was recorded. So just sounded like a lovely piece of music with some Beatles vibes I could note
Thank you David, I’m really glad to read you enjoyed it! The song is from the White Album, which I didn’t know about only since a few years ago. I remember as a teenager hearing about The Beatles and as soon as I started working and earning some money of my own buying the Anthology 3 from a local Music Shop: it was 2 cds and seemed to contain all the greatest songs…It wasn’t all of them, I then found out, but much much and enough goodness for one as me so much fond of our national music. The Anthology 3 version of Sexy Sadie is more mellow than the original, with a more melanchonic vibe to it…as it is for I will and other songs. I loved those 2 cds and knew all the songs.
I had a quick scan at the songs on Anthology 3 and only know a few and a few of those are one’s I like. My parents had the Red and the Blue compilations. Their effort to introduce as youngsters to more contemporary music, rather than their own listening taste. But then The Beatles were always more acceptable to the older generations than many others.
I enjoy the Red album, the early Beatles and not nearly as much the Blue album. Probably expressing musical heresy here
