I’m late to the party… Your arranging skills are admirable, Silvia
Maybe you have explained it somewhere above and I haven’t seen it. When you are arranging and you have the first ten, fifteen seconds for example, how often do you go back to the original to check how “true” your version is to it? Do you at some point reach a stage where “your” version is playing in your head and acting as main guideline for arranging?
You are a fantastic teacher, Silvia

Thank you Nicole
Whenever I feel something is out of place, which means very often, especially melody notes and number of beats…this one makes an exception though…I’m sure there must be some extra beat somewhere and innacuracies, nevermind, it’s been a tough one!
Yes I think so in some respect…especially the style of playing, I allow for my own thing to take form without bothering too much if I’m not able to stick to the original…but I don’t hear it in my mind, I esperiment with the chords shapes and Rhythm, chose my notes and then check one phrase at the time…and I rely on what has been already worked out to add the next phrase.
