The “mastery” of both hands and a lot more than that my Classical studies are providing But as I was writing to Andrea
And I agree it’s just Music…I was trying to make you smile as Justin made me smile in one of his Christmas Pop song Lesson and he says something like “May the Gods of Rock forgive me!”
Dominique…I think I made about 6 or 8 recording attempts the other day and this one was the One to be posted… I always make some mistake here or there…This is a little motto of mine:
"Smile and play, don’t bother too much about mistakes, as in the process they’ll melt away!
I wholeheartedly agree with this, Silvia! And your joy in playing always shines through
And I also think you learnt this very quickly (from someone who has also been getting into the acoustic blues pieces on JG )
Thank you Jason @ontime1969 …yes playing the guitar brings much happiness in my life
Yes, I thought the same; I also thought I would experiment a little bit with the amp and raise the volume on the bass strings (I never use the amp except for the school parties where volume is required)…but there’s something wrong with the amplification device inside the guitar and we’re taking it to the shop soon as my husband says he can’t fix it this time ( I hoped he could as he had already fixed it once). Thanks a lot Boris for listening and commenting…I’ m very happy you found it steady and clean!
I will because they are just fun … but only this one and the real Steady Thumb Blues for the moment…then I think I’ll get back learning new Classical pieces Thanks a lot Jeremy I much appreciate you took the time to listen and comment!
Hi Silvia,
I don’t know if you have good pizza over there but you got good taste in this blues offering. Your hard work and dedication come through very well on this. You are steady and under control the whole way. Nice job all around!
Keep up the steady vibe and be well in all you do!

Hi Silvia, excellent performance of this piece. It sounds like you have been practicing for over a year. I had been thinking about starting this in January after I finish recording my ten grade 2 consolidation songs, but now you may have inspired me to give it a try earlier. You can tell that all the classical practice has given you a good separation of thumb and finger control and as others have said your timing and rhythm are very accurate. It sounds good to me.
What a nice little treat that was! You played the piece so well, great feel for time and the thumb seemed pretty steady to me, too.
Surely, the classical music gods are still in your favour - you can have some of both world, too. Also, all the effort you put into your classical journey were a really solid foundation to pick the blues, too.
Thank you @Elliot for listening…I much appreciated that and your comment
Good pizza? No…not really…only excellent pizza …
Whatever I practice always a lot of effort is put to be under control, tap my foot and make everything go along with it…I’m happy to say that along the way things become a bit easier… Thank you LBro!
Steve I’m among those that focus more on developing skills rather than achieving pieces and most of the skills required for playing this I’ve been practicing for over 1 or 2 or 3 years! As well as my learning method has been developing for many years already and on it I can rely! It’s nice to see that then , at a certain point the direct consequence is achieving pieces as well! Thank you for listening and your super comment Steve, it does mean a lot!
My tapping constant practice is paying off!
@Lisa_S thank you Lisa, I hope you’re all well there…a kiss to little Vincent
It’ just all music after all, and so many fundamentals are common!
