My first on stage show

Last Thursday my friend Ciaran who is originally from Ireland was so awesome to let me play a few songs on stage while he took a break from his set. I was a bit nervous about standing so felt lazy sitting and playing but overall it to bad. I’m very thankful to Justin guitar and the community for all the advice and feedback to build my confidence. Here’s a sample of what could be a regular Thursday spot there. Old town San Diego is kind of an old west tourist spot here. Kids were singing along and made an old man feel pretty cool.

Well done for getting up and doing it, sounded fine to me.
Old Town San Diego, been there on holiday from UK, interesting place, my daughter still reminisces over the great tee shirts she bought there.

You never know. The next day I was at the beach playing Green Day in the dark and three ladies came by to record me for their vacation video trip to San Diego. It was nice to be appreciated.

That’s really cool that you’ve been here before. Old Town is a fun place to go for tourists and is still free. Glad you stopped by to listen to the performance.

I think the only thing that really worried me is I would mess up the strumming and lose focus. I did a little bit but not too bad. I had a lot of fun and appreciated the chance. Thanks for listening.

Hi Tod,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. This chance came up with minimal notice so I decided it’s like when you stand at the edge of the cold swimming pool. You have to just dive in and not worry about it. Not perfect, but I can say I finally gave it a go.
