My Interview with a professional Blues Guitarist

I’m posting this here on the suggestion of my #BBP BLIM buddies. This was a piece of work that was, originally, done as part of the BLIM course. During the course on each unit we are encouraged to deep-dive into the history history and culture of the Blues, and to focus on an artist and do a specific study of them.

When it came to Unit 4, the period in question was the 60s and 70s. And a good friend of mine was a professional Blues guitar player during this time. And, although he’s not a household name, he is an accomplished and respected musician who, at the time, performed and recorded with legendary Blues artists including John Lee Hooker, Freddy King, John Mayall, Harvey Mandel, and many others.

So I asked him if I could interview him, and he agreed.

Cheers,

Keith

Thanks for this it was a very interesting listen. I quite like hearing to older musicians talking about their careers and the insights they give. He speaks and comes across very well. It makes we wonder if there were any blues guitarists at the time that didn’t play with John Mayall.

PS where did he get that shirt :tshirt:
