Wow! Man, I envy you (in a positive sense, of course) and am happy for you at the same time. I own a humble LP Studio and love everything about it; yours is at least a class higher… :guitar: :+1:

I hope she sounds as good as she looks!

I’ve completed my Les Paul hunt 3 times  Hopefully the one I have now really is the one!

The famous R9! This is the first one I saw on this forum. It looks absolutely incredible, that flame top is well over average. It must be impeccable, the quality control on these guitars is exceptionally high. I would love to hear how it sounds.

You can join Gibson Facebook groups, there are many interesting posts, and sometimes Gibson employees posting pictures from factory. I wouldn’t be surprised to see your guitar there.

I missed that thread completely! Amazing looking guitar Paul. I am sure it sounds great, especially with that amp cranked up!
Is this the LP that you sold recently and bought tele?!

Thanks everyone. Yes, it sounds and plays like no other guitar I owned before. I have a 2010 LP Standard that comes very close to the '59 in terms of playability. I set up all my guitars myself including Luthier work. The workman ship is spot on. It stays in tune forever, including the G string!

Hope to see you at RIM! :guitar:

I did get a used Tele but I sold my Ibanez Satriani to a friend. I keep all my LPs. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep - It was a Murphy Lab too. When I bought it I must have played 8-10 58s and 59s, this was the one that felt the best. However we grew apart, so it went. I have recently filled the LP hole - hopefully this one will gel.
The tele, though - I think that will be with me a very long time.

I knew you had LP, but always thought it was LP Standard. :slightly_smiling_face:

Really looking forward to it, I have permission from SWMBO which was vitally important. I am concerned that i will struggle getting my playing up to speed, I hope it is not all shredding stuff, that not really my bag at all. I am doing some scale and pattern exercises everyday and accuracy and speed is very slowly improving.

I’ve owned 4 LPs - none of them standard
I had a Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Limited Edition “The BeBo”.
I had the Murphy Lab '59.
I had a LP Junior .

All now gone.

I’ve currently got a Black Beauty.

I don’t do NGD posts any more - too much risk that my wife will see them

Thank you, it couldn’t stop looking it up online and since I am a huge Bonamassa fan/nerd I had to get it.

Gibson LP Goldtop with mini humbuckers
Gibson LP Standard with greeny buckers
Gibson LP Modern Lite with Slash Zebras (super light compared to the other ones)
And now the new LP.
I even own a Gibson 2008 SG Robot, only replaced the rechargeable batteries. Still works like a charm. And other guitars. I sell what I don’t play. I am not a collector. The Gibsons are in constant rotation.
