I’m still not quite sure how it happened.
I went to my local music shop just to see what interface units and microphones were available. Seems I didn’t make it past the guitar section.
I tried several semi hollow bodies and when I tried the Gretsch, the tone was just what I had imagined it should be and it felt so good to play. I just had to have it!
Isn’t that the model Brian Setzer plays? Or a very similar Gretsch. Very nice.
Looks awesome, happy NGD
It happened because you have excellent taste in guitars. Play on playa!
I believe his is a 6120, a bit fatter but similar shape.
Thanks JK. I hope my playing I can do it justice.
Oh you were a bad boy weren’t you?! Happy NGD
That’s one fine looking guitar. Congratulations!
Lots to love, Peter, enjoy.
So did you manage to get the interfaces and mics thereafter?
You won’t be disappointed Peter, just love my Streamliner. Happy NGD.
Hi Peter,
Happy NGD
Beautiful guitar,…i wish you a long time together and I hope you wear out a lot of strings
Greetings,Rogier
Funny thing Adrian, my wife is away this weekend which makes it just that bit naughtier. As the saying goes ‘Easier to plead for forgiveness than beg for permission’
Hi David. No, didn’t get to that section of the store. That will surely require another visit.
Yes, I’m a big fan and I love mine.
Beautiful guitar! Have a lot of fun with it!
Is it a 5565T? Gorgeous guitar. Congratulations!
I want to by 5565TG in Azure Metallic sometime after the army. And it won’t be my only Gretsch for sure.
Happy NGD!
Try going home without one after that experience
Hi Artem, it’s a 5420T. It certainly is a beautiful instrument.
Brilliant!
Happy NGD Peter. What a tasty treat to come away with. Back to the shop now to buy what it was you went to buy in the first place.
Risky business, Peter. Maybe your wife should come along next time to help you stay focused
