NTGD - New Travel Guitar day

Tried strap locks, as wide as strap end. Strap still rotated and moved tuners.

Also strap button on neck end pulls guitar across body, so too far to the right. Only works sitting.

Will move both strap buttons. The one under the tuners away from tuners and to the left or up as guitar hangs. Where located on the version with the tremelo. The other to neck heel.

The reason for a travel guitar of this sort of size is because after an unexplained loss of consciousness I had my driving licence revoked and so this is to travel on a train, along with small amplifier 3/4 the size of a house brick.

I would also consider something like the Nux MP-3 with headphones.

As an aside, I’ve also decided to keep hold of my Travelcaster electric as it’s looking increasingly likely I will be doing a project where I will be traveling to Manila frequently.

Cheers,

Keith

I also have a plug in amplifier and headphones. Just prefer somehow to not use headphones, not sure what anyone else might think about it…

Everybody wants me to use headphones.

I would have thought, on a train, people would get pretty annoyed.

Normally its going to be for playing at the destination rather than during the journey, :grinning: but sometimes I might get tempted when someone starts playing loud music on their phone for everyone elses benefit…

Not going too well. Not sure that I could recommend one of these. Back together and working, contacted the seller. What looks like a good fretboard with stainless steel frets kind of spoiled by the cheap and cheerful other parts used…

They are sending another bridge…

Repaired. Though not quite as it should be. So I’ll have a spare bridge. Enjoying it, the different sound. Put a set of new Rotosounds on it.

Quick go using lekato 5 watt travel amp, recorded using phone, so sound quality may be a little suspect…

Hi Geoff
That is prohibited for a travel guitar … you misinterpret the idea of the travel guitar :grimacing:… without it then you can travel , but if it is with you and you have your hands free … play and put a bowl in front of you (put a camera on it  ) and you earn the train ticket back :sunglasses:
Greetings and have fun

Probably anyone nearby likely to throw rotten fruit at me, rather than money in my hat…
