Jacob, Thanks for the listen and feedback. Yes, I did the backing track. For some reason when I started doing covers I started trying to transcribe all the parts. Usually the drums and bass are more improv. Drums are usually played on a keyboard through MT Power Drums, or Steven Slate MIDIs, and the bass is just my guitar using an octave drop. But for me, transcribing and making my own backing tracks has been really good ear training and, I believe, have helped my playing. Plus, I learn a lot in the process. Backing tracks are okay, but I just like making my own.
