Gutted that senility prevented me from persuading Zoom to accept my musical contributions, but very much enjoyed the bit of post-show chat, which I rarely indulge in
Looking forward to catching it on the tubes

So the last shall be first, and the first last…
I haven’t figured out yet what gremlins are preventing my musical abilities from being broadcast live, so in the meantime, you’ll all have to put up with my recorded dross…
These are the two I was going to play last night, and I guess this is a more appropriate place to post than a separate topic.
You can regard them as a warm-up act for the awaited YT upload
Thanks for setting up, Richard. The raw video is safely saved on my PC. I shall edit tomorrow and unless something unexpected transpires should be able to get it done and ready for upload.
Thank to Jenn for MCing, well done to all the performers, and many thanks to all the folk who gave up time to come and enjoy the show.
I posted in the wrong place sorry
I attended but was a little late. It was fantastic and I really thought it was cool. This was my first one to watch. The performances that I saw were so good, kudos to the artists. I only missed the first two, sorry Paul and Jenn. I also thought that was a great conversation after, as well. Sorry I didnt have a microphone and could only participate in chat.
Thanks again.
Another great show everybody! Thanks to all of you, organising, playing, participating in the chat and just making music in general!
Till next time!
This was my first time to attend an open mic and was blown away by the performances. There are a lot of wonderful musicians in this forum.
What a great show! As per usual, I am in awe of the variety and amount of talent we have here.
DyeV had a great time performing today. It was nice being back in front of an audience again after a bit of a break.
Big, big thank you to @DavidP for the tech assistance/sound check help this morning so we could work out our sound issues with the Zoom update.
Also… a special shout out to @deiussum for the incredible debut performance!
Thanks! It was a great time. I would definitely do it again.
Everyone else did a great job as well and I always love hearing the variety of music in these. A little disappointed that @brianlarsen had some technical difficulty and wasn’t able to perform. Maybe next time.
I also enjoyed the pre & post event chat.
Thanks @Jenndye429 @DavidP @Richard_close2u @TheMadman_tobyjenner (and anyone I’ve missed) for your work to make the show possible, much appreciated.
Sorry, I had to run off after the last performance, but it was past my bedtime
I had exactly the same issue as you Brian, I was lucky that it just sorted itself despite no intervention - senility is either temporary or there’s a bug in Zoom somewhere.
Agreed, good job Dan. I suspect you’ll find these things become addictive!
Me and my big mouth …
The unexpected happened …
Local cable theft, no electricity supply, rain and cloud, solar powered battery system flat and slowly recharging SIGH
So due to circumstances beyond my control … Sound like an incompetent politician … Preparation of the eagerly awaited video will be delayed.
Apologies
@frito Having seen your live performance, I hope you’ll sign up for the next OM, Joe
Thats what I wanted to say too! Thank you!
After a stressfull last days and a long working day yesterday it felt as if my brain was only at 50% . When taking my guitar and in the sound check I could only remember half of the song I intended to play, haha.
When it was my turn, I really concentrated and was internally happy while playing the first third! Then I think that my being content had made my concentration drop a little too much, so the rest was full of flaws, but at least I’m glad that most of the times when an error occurs, I’m finding my way back in some subtle way.
Thanks a lot to the other performers! I liked all the contributions!
Although I missed the two before me, DyeV and Paul, because I was shocked with me not being able to perform the song like I was in the last days, so was busy with playing it as many times as I could in a row until it was my turn
And also thank you everyone for the nice words in the chat!
the OM is always overlaping with my practice time so I will gladly watch the video today
Nothing to apologize for - we’re (I’m sure others feel the same) really thankful for your contribution in organizing the event and everything else you do! And I remember your friendly and encouraging words before my performance which made me feel better!
Great show everybody. I managed to catch 3/4 of it before having to leave. Eagerly awaiting David’s power to get sorted to watch the replay. Thanks to all the performers and organizers.
You know they say David, Better late than never and more importantly, Good things come to those who wait.
Thanks David. I hope to do that. I understand attending in the audience is a key step to performing. I just hope my MacBook mic is sufficient as I don’t have the gear most of the performers have.
David’s power is unstoppable and he has done all the doings. Video available now in post #1 above.
That’s OM 19 chat Richard, not 29
