Thanks for organising Richard.
Really enjoyed the morning(for UK) OM and it was good to chat to our friends in Australia.
All the performances were top notch.
It was a great chance to try some live fingerpicking which I have avoided before, due to fingers not doing what they should! Masochistic but thanks for all the encouragement, another small guitar hurdle jumped for me!
The OM is a very friendly and supportive way of improving one’s live performance, give it a go if you haven’t done it before

Great work and congrats to everyone for an entertaining show.

Some great songs choices, always love to hear fingerpicking and a great job by Molly with some sharp improvising on the fly too :+1: particularly liked the swift headphone removal move, thats something I probably need to practice  :+1:

Richard, great songs and picking

Great work by my fellow downunders, again great song choice by Rod, The Church features in my songbook too, nicely done Rod :+1:

@RonG 3 great songs performed really well mate  very pro looking. I spent a while analysing your background  personally I felt the sound was great, levels, harmony, fx :+1: good levels. Your vocal fx seemed dialled back from some more recent posts and I like it :+1:

If you fancy bringing your tribute for a holiday and some gigs in SW WA, I have your accomodation sorted, just say the word :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

And of course our very own Jesse Welles @brianlarsen  great work, really enjoy that performance, and you’re definately a performer :+1:
That is the second song I’ve heard based on the Morecombe Bay tradgedy after hearing Doms great version of Ghosts, I had to look the event up since it was many years ago I departed those shores and wasn’t aware of it.

Finally, it was a real shame I was not able to take part but being overseas even tho’ I managed to get my hands on a $70 copy guitar here, on the day the intrnet would not have held up, I even had to bail out of watching due to constant stalling and buffering

Great work everyone, onwards and upwards.

Thanks Craig. Appreciate the invite as well. It is on our list to eventually get over to WA so if and when we do we will see if we can catch-up.

Thank you Alexey! :blush:It still needs some refinement and more depth/variation in the guitar parts, though.

No I finally got the time to catch up the performances I missed during showtime.

@MollyT Cheers for your on-the-fly set change, Molly! It tells a lot about your level as performer to react like that pulling out this love tune instead of another one as if it was nothing. I thoroughly enjoyed your set and especially liked the last tune (didn’t know this one). Such a nice and catchy one and some nice single not picking in it, too. I need to check out this one.

@brianlarsen Ending the OM with three originals is quite a thing, Brian! Your creativity is admirable as is your way of using words. Also it takes guts to step up that stage kind of last minute without much of prep time. But you seem at ease with the performer role as well and never fail to entertain! All of your songs were new to me, but I thoroughly enjoyed them - the one about learning a foreign language was my favourite in this set.

Overall, it was a most enjoyable show and it’s great we could accommodate for our members down under! Hopefully, we can do this again at some times and seeing/hearing even more from that part of the globe.

Thanks also to @Richard_close2u Richard for stepping up as MC and spotlighter in addition to the organizational stuff. And thanks @TheMadman_tobyjenner Toby for the fast video edit as well. You and all the other folks behind the curtains keep our OMs going which is just great and much appreciated!

Thank you so much Lisa @Lisa_S ! When Richard @Richtrfc started playing Kathy’s song I was like omg what now? And it was his last song so not much time to think. Had I known I was going to play “I’ll be there in the morning” it would have sounded much better, I for one can hear the panic in my voice, but overall I think it was ok for playing the song cold, on the spot and unexpected. And btw your version of The Gambler sounded really great! I never thought of covering it before but now I might and even nick a few things of your arrangement

It’s totally relatable that you panicked a little in that situation, Molly @MollyT. But it never showed that much so you covered that really well! It was definitely more than ok given the circumstances.

Glad you enjoyed The Gambler in my version and even more, think about covering it now. Nick as much as you like and once you share your version, I might nick some of yours. I’m still working on it, though. I want to include the bass runs as well, but I could either get those or the singing. So some more hours are required here.
