Thanks so much! It was a great event!
Thanks for the opportunity Justin.
thanks for making all this possible.
I did like the idea of having a step up from performing live to the community to performing live to a wider audience. It gives a natural step up channel for the community members.
Huge thanks @JustinGuitar - it was a true honor to be able to perform on the same billing as you! Perhaps Rod said it best - huge thank you to you and the entire community for giving us the gift of being able to learn, play, and perform!
Even though had some issues with my audio I had a blast, thank you all for attending and it was great to be there with you all! Feel a sense of accomplishment that my BT was in time, shame sound was crackling but hopefully one day I will iron it out.
To other performers you were great and each performance was really heartwarming, congratulations and see you all next year in any shape of form Open Mics will appear as!
Im new to the site but picking up so much. The community really is a wonderful asset in my opinion. Hopefully contribute to the Open Mic next year.
@adi_mrok you did great! I loved hearing a song in a different language that Iād never heard before yet the emotion and spirit of the song came right through!
Adi
think it was only the mic I could hear guitar no problem sounded good.
Toby
the. ālikeā police never heard. Thatās crazy
Iāve had a couple run ins with the copyright police
Many thanks Jesse as mentioned on Tubez I think your performance was so far most pro and confident. You did superb and itās great seeing you develop!
And glad you enjoyed the song! It is a lot different tone wise to how I performed it but hey wanted to make it more interesting to the audience! And to clarify what kulig is - itās a tradition where families head over on sledges run by horses to woods (mostly in mountains) where children are holding fire torches to light up the road and families enjoy themselves with a bonfire at the end of the journey. Song was pretty much about it with a mixture of different references to characters from classic movies and books of Polish origin
Jason I believe guitar was cracking too, had some help and brainstorming session with Themadman but not enough time to get it resolved. Will sit down after my trip and try to nail it down. Thanks for nice comments too
I was having sound issues in the sound check just prior to the launch, so o decided to just unplug
We have a lot of talented people in this community! Iām glad that I joined just a few weeks ago.
Cheers all!
PSāIām a beer guy. Several pints going down tonight
Adi
You did well, especially as you took it to the wire to sort the problems out. Not sure what is going with StreamYard audio but I detected quite a lot of clipping and āechoingā from a lot of performers compared to our Zoom OMs. In fact my crackle free set up an hour before the show, also had quite a few bleeds that was not evident in the Dry Runs. Certainly some tech issues to resolve to use this as a future vehicle. Weird but it is what it is or isnāt.
Great song, now I know where I picked up the Blah Blah Blah
Rock on Donna !!
Loved your song
Thanks Toby, I think your setup was really good no issues easily detectable on my TVs soundbar. I would love to blame Streamyard for it but clearly issue is between Reaper and OBS as crackling was happening even when I recorded to file, so something must be happening between those two. Hopefully will sort it out one day although it will definitely be a complicated task

I love hearing the back story - I didnāt understand the words of course but could just tell it was festive and you were telling a story with your performance. Bravo!
You can put YLM on each track in Reaper and find an optimum balance that way and again on the master. But on the live stream I was definitely spitting clips hear and there, which did not occur earlier. Guess you are more in tune to your own recording but hey ! Another day another dollar.
Whatās YLM, Toby?
