What is 1930 cet?
As far as i can see CET is the time i follow now. Right now my time is 15:25
Hi all. Iām afraid Iām not going to be able to make it tonight. Woke up with a sore throat and headache and both are just getting worse. I think Iām going to be in bed by the start time. Best of luck to you all and Iāll be sure to check out the recording.
I think I have defeated myself so want to ask a question about using OBS.
I have the microphone choice in Zoom as coming from OBS using a virtual able. What speaker choice do I need so I can hear me and the Zoom meet through headphones plugged into my interface?
It seems I can only listen to Zoom when speaker is set to a usb set of headphones?
I am only using OBS for some vocal reverb so can ditch it.
Yes 1930 your time, same here in France. In other words 30 minutes before the start. It will allow to check Zoom access is working and then do a soundcheck. Some of use will be monitoring this thread as well in case folk have issues and we can off advice.
Is that clearer ?
Whaaaaat?? Do we start 2000 my time not 2100??
I just lost one hour of practise???
Thatās a bummer Mike, hope its not Covid ! Take care.
Yes its 2000 Central European UTC+2 we are an hour ahead of the UK.
In 4:25 minutes time. That should be long enough.
Ouchā¦ i was dead certain it was 2100 our timeā¦ but okā¦ 2000 our time thenā¦
Trond for sure it is 2000 yours and mine. See you later,
Yepā¦ see you tonight Toby
For future refrenceā¦ i will just ask you the same day when the start up isā¦ i should not mess with this my self
@tRONd
Trond, the event starts at 18h00 UTC.
Your time zone, according to the go to website, is now CEST Central European Summer Time, which is UTC+2. So the event starts at 20h00 your local time and the soundcheck from 19h30 local time. Appears as if Norway uses this time throughout the year.
@pikeamus
Bummer, Mike, hope you get well soon.
@Richard_close2u
Richard, the audio output of Zoom will depend on what your PC/LT output is set to be in the Audio Sound Settings. On my PC it is set to Speakers (Focusrite Usb Audio) and I can then listen through either headphones or monitor speakers plugged into the interface.
You will not hear yourself when testing a Zoom meeting. To test you need to record the meeting and then listen back to that recording.
Donāt worry, Iām a bit overwhelmed myself by these setups
@DavidP
I recorded with me in on both laptop and phone.
I"m a bit baffled but it is no big deal if I canāt figure ut out.
Oh dang it you will be missed tonight Mike get well!
I as usual are no where being ready setup wise, Saturdays are quite busy for me. Need to figure out mic positioning as both vox and guitar are only via mic plus checking if between songs I need to play around with sensitivity so the other song is not too loudā¦ And I am still away from home!
Not sure what you mean by this, Richard.
Does the LT have a camera? Do you want to have a quick Zoom meet to talk through it? Iām free for another 30 minutes as I type this (just gone 3pm your time)
20:00 Spanish time, so close
I gave up on OBS, couldnāt get my USB mic to work properly, tried everything in the tutorials on the Community,ā¦
So I decided to go with the really poor laptop webcam, but I gues the sound is the important thing.
Tha ks for the offer @DavidP but I have missed your window.
No worries.
Whatever works later on I wll use.
Iām back now Richard, so we can chat here or Zoom, happy to try to help get it sorted.
