Parisienne Walkways: Justin has two lessons for this one, rhythm and lead. I used Justin’s lesson on rhythm to learn the chords, and then transcribed the lead from the “Back on the Streets” version. After transcribing, I went back and watched Justin’s lesson on the lead and found that I had different fretting in some spots, but when I played along with the original ref file it sounded ok for my purposes, albeit some rough edges, but close enough for my purposes.
Instrumentation:
RHYTHM: Clean>chorus; LEAD: GTR3>mono amp>vintage lead preset; BASS: PRS>Octave drop on DigiTech RP155 effects pedal; DRUMS: keyboard played through Steven Slate SSD5 midi; ORGAN: keyboard played through Collab3 midi.
I’ll Fly Away is a song that I recorded the end of last year when I was doing some preplanning. According to AI and other sources, it’s the most recorded gospel song ever, including covers by Bob Marley, Kanye and many others.
This month and these posts close out eight years of tutelage under Justin Guitar, and once again would like to say thank you to Justin and the team, and to this community for the encouragement and support. It’s been quite a journey!
