My go at covering this instrumental from the distant past. Takes a little while to get to the guitar bit, but gets there eventually…
Really nice job!..you give some hope to an old 60’s garage bander trying to re-discover the stuff I used to play and learn to do it the right way!
Wow! That was fantastic. Congrats on your multi-instrumentalist skills. The mix you made sounds awesome. Very, very impressive, especially that I’ve always loved that song. Oh, and the Bach Prelude in C major adds some special taste to the composition; great that you included it in your cover.
Epic Mr Jones, well done sir!
Beautiful playing Phil.
What a great job you did on this production.
Your playing is excellent.
The expression you do while playing is near mesmerizing.
Glad to see someone cover Procol Harum. Don’t think I’ve seen anything by them yet here.
Just outstanding!
Thanks for sharing that for sure.
Wow, wow, wow. No more to be said.
Phil
Awesome!! So good, I’m speechless.
Brian
Wow! Nowthing else to say! I’m gonna pack up - I was going to post a video this month, but nah, back to the practise shed I guess
This is excellent Phil, thanks for sharing.
Amazing stuff Phil, very skilful in so many areas
Wow, that was beyond impressive. I only no Whiter Shade of Pale by that band. This was quite spectacular.
Now you have organ and guitar . . . are you ready to take on Child In Time?
Phii, great job and completely beyond me now, but I enjoyed the cover. I hadn’t heard this song before so I was so nice to hear.
@jhjennis @Coda @TheMadman_tobyjenner @HappyCat @sairfingers @beejay56 @MollyT @Malz @mathsjunky
Thank you for the listen folks!
I think if a piano teacher had heard how uneven it was in places, they might have had something to say!
@DavidP Child in Time? OK I’ll do the organ and you can do the vocals
@SteveL_G99 Thanks Steve! Yeah it’s not one of their well known ones (except for Procol fans of course!)
Holy sh#t, what a fabulous blast from the past! That was nothing short of a masterpiece of a cover, absolutely stunning in every way! I am in awe of your multi instrumental talents, lots for words to say (that could be said here ).
oh yeah, Gillan’s vocal always going to be a problem. I see you adroitly side-stepped Blackmore’s guitar as well
I was hoping you might cover that David!
I am a struggling camp fire, cowboy chord, strum a dum dum’er . . . based on your play, far better bet if you pick it up.
Great job my friend Love every bit of it. Keep on and thanks for sharing
Really good, Phil. The playing and mix were excellent. Very impressive fret work and guitar sounds.
Is the organ a native sound of the KB or are you playing through a MIDI.
