Well …It’s about rain
True Just checked outside though…and it’s definitely not men drilopping from the sky at the moment…
Aah… Let’s get this back to melancholic rain songs ( even when I will make use of @Helen0609 's sow weather song whenever I need it )
Does “Stormy Monday" count as a rain song I wonder?
Depends on your definition of storm, I guess. Is it a rain storm, hail storm, snow storm or sand storm?
No Nicole in this case it’s a brain storm. “They call it Stormy Monday, but Tuesday’s just as bad, Wednesday’s worse and Thursday’s also sad”. Back to work Monday for me too tomorrow…it’s the blues.
Or a storm ?
looking through those songs and finding Purple Rain I just had to listen to it, WOW what a guitar player Wendy is how she reaches those chord shapes is beyond me, such a talented guitarist. I have tried reaching a couple and I just can’t do it, hats off to her
… exactly Let’s not forget about firestorms and rainfree thunderstorms either
Based on those lyrics, Monday is not bad… Wednesday seems to be the day to fear
…and the Stormy Daniels?
And she was 19 when she came up with those chord shapes. Legend has it that the record is using and is based upon part of the actual recording from the very first live performance of this song. Wendy still going strong.
My humble contribution to this thread:
"RAIN RAIN GO AWAY - COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY - LITTLE SILVIA WANTS TO PLAY - RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!
If you really love your guitar, transport it in a guitar case
Greetings
Edit; When I type in Google image ‘if you really love your guitar’ for a funny or good picture, this is what I get in the Netherlands …
Gordon @sairfingers You are world famous in the Netherlands
How on earth did that happen Rogier? I don’t want to be plastered all over the internet. Especially not in a country where they sell funny cakes in the cafés.
Hi Gordon,
How should I know that , perhaps because the more often someone is ‘clicked’, the more interesting it is to show? You’re just really "nice/worth clickable " …That’s your own fault
…I can assure you that the “home makers” are vastly in the majority … Here, but also all over the world …
Don’t worry, we like the Scots, and when they make music there is love involved
Greetings
