Roger's rock on wheels

Couldn’t remember where the gardening/recycling thread was  so thought I’d pop in with the rubbish…
A couple of months ago we had our front doors replaced, and I stopped the guy from taking away the old ones with the words: “You never know when you might need those.”
I had some two by four left over from the picnic table renovation project, so decided to make my honey-bunny a new ‘cold box’ for her plantlings.
Rewards will be cashed in in the next life

Ooo my goodness Brian ,
Have you secretly started a business, something in the funeral sector?

Okay, to be honest, we are both looking at it with admiration, that is turning into a beautiful greenhouse… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :man_bowing:

James  …that are not nice words to Brian … like them  …but not nice

Now it is way to late for sitting here at the table …Goood evening all :waving_hand: :sun:

Wow Brian, now that’s a top class cold frame.
We just got back from holiday this evening. What’s happened to my lawn ?!

Clearly I’ve got some work to do in the next few days.:joy:

Oh, we should start talking about the pros and cons of riding mowers to finally get back to gardening…

Hey you Scottish world traveler, back home safely I see …for a few days,
Just leave the suitcases down stairs, just ajar

You will no longer be surprised that I see an upgrade of your lawn with various flowers that flying insects love :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Okay okay , admittedly I also like the sight of a neatly mown lawn  but between beds full of flowers and plants in gardens and in parks and mountains and fields, like everything with meadow flowers and such… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Have fun gardening these day …

:see_no_evil_monkey:
but actually that was a long-cherished dream, a riding mower, because that meant that I would own a mega garden…

Back to the music, sort of

After a few days of break due to the heat, yesterday I spent another hour working on Canon in D ( dag 16 and I’m up to minute 33 of the tutorial that’s in my head)
and was visited a few times (just like last week) by a bird (you know them Gordon ) …spent several minutes looking for spiders against the windows and in a planter on the windowsill… yesterday one was in the adjacent storage room/utility room when the door was accidentally open … I had the illusion that the creature was listening, every time I stopped for a photo it flew away… maybe it was about something other than just listening pleasure

My audience, she (?) comes to watch again during this story… probably when I start :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

OMG! It looks like you have an invading species of…
Nature! :open_mouth:

As the song I recently learned goes:
“Every mower is a ride-on mower… You’ve just got to be prepared to put the effort in!”

Hi Brian ,
It made me laugh because I suddenly saw many images and possibilities with mowers that I have seen before… but this one crashes when I sit on it and does not move an inch for sure :see_no_evil_monkey: (that mower)

When we decided to manage the garden differently, we also saved a lot of time :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:…let’s see if that also works with personal care such as showering and so on …let it grow

Now I have a ride

I’m feeling like sitting in a classroom with a bunch of adolescent, easy distractible boys  - give them a key word of your choice (mowers) and whoops… they jump right on the train :joy:

But then, something went terribly wrong

 :joy:

Brian started :roll_eyes::baby_angel:

Oooo that pick of that mower I have seen in the haloween theme …some where…

but it so much more fun now with your words   :joy:

oooo oooo Edit: sorry Brian …my adolescent brain got stressed and didn’t want to be punished by the teacher… it was Andrea , uh at least still not me …

a cookie for every punishment at school and I can’t go on that big one anymore . :grimacing:

I’m still easily distracted, but today I played guitar for over 2 hours in about 4 or 5 blocks… and some very short ones because … uh that distraction thing…
but that was a long time ago so long :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

He he ,that was what never helped me Dominique
Certainly not if I was laughing again, that’s why I was sent out of the classroom most of the time (thinking a lot and doing it x 4), and the more I couldn’t or wasn’t allowed, the louder the laugh and the angrier the teacher of course had to laugh even harder, in primary school I soon no longer had to go to the director and could just “cool off” in the hallway for a while.
And at higher school (from age 11/12) the headmaster did not think further punishment was necessary and quickly told every teacher that putting them in the hallway for the rest of the hour was enough…
I could also very easily burst into laughter out of nowhere, at least once a day…

and so when I read a sentence here in concentration or completely relaxed that I did not expect at all, my cat or wife sometimes looks a bit uh surprised/weird… :upside_down_face:

Long story short …it was almost always me

at school, oh well, in the end I didn’t care that much, I can help that I have too many thoughts and have to laugh about them too often for different reasons… that time someone got married, especially in a church and I don’t think about funerals at all…Oooooo, but those are those moments that most people still think back on with pleasure I could immediately and even during the tears of sadness burst into tears of laughter in extremes…

Well it breaks the tension, so to speak. :see_no_evil_monkey:

What memories have been running through my head for hours and all because of a lawn mower…good memories …thanks Andrea :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Greetings :hatching_chick:

Guess what I was doing when you typed this Andrea …yes yes I did the first half hour + allready today :baby_angel: good boy me

:see_no_evil_monkey:
but school was also a hellish time because of my poor grades in half of the subjects (mathematics, chemistry and the grammar of all the languages we had to learn, English, German, French, Dutch) brrrrrr
But in class, if I wasn’t outside in my head and daydreaming, half the time I spent the rest of the hour chatting pleasantly and more…uh and so on and always most of the class want to sit next to me or in close space because a lot happend desired by me/on purpose or not…Ooo not all those thoughts now…guitar guitar guitar, but not the occasional student who wanted the highest grades…why???

Now Listen to the wise girl :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: and back to … :guitar:

Greetings

Somehow, pictures of you…, together with a certain other member of this community,… in school…, in the same room…, are coming to my mind :winking_face_with_tongue:… What would have happened, if you and Mr. B were classmates ? Burning Down The (School-) House??
A real dreamteam for every teacher  :speak_no_evil_monkey:!

that was exactly me! We had a school in the green and I was mostly looking out of the window watching trees, birds, the sky, but gladly my ears were still listening rather often I think.
And my wife and me had to see my son’s teacher recently because he loves to talk in class. I’m curious how he’ll do after the holidays in highschool instead of primary school :face_with_peeking_eye:
