Oh my goodness Andrea …stop now ( I did practice again and was wishing the camera was on so good the 2e part went from Canon ), but most things came from a good heart with the best intentions… just 11 years old, eh, how quickly and well a pencil burns, oh quite quickly… distracted (hiding because the teacher comes back into the classroom) quickly kept it under the table… Fill in the rest.
Later in secondary education (almost 12 to 16 years) chemistry room with the shower, I won’t tell you more today. But it was not intended to destroy things … I often called it an inquisitive mind…
So yes ,the school with him aboard would be in serious trouble
O yes Dominique ,Only in my case the sound in my ears was turned off, or at least the sound of the teacher was turned off, and my daytime/looking away dream at the creatures and the clouds was often disturbed when my name was shouted extra loudly… and that in turn caused me to have negative itch that I had to do something about…
and the loop goes on and on
OOoo exciting, good luck…During those years, my parents often woke up sweating because of me (although not always because of school )…
OOoooo Nicole
Bad girl ,don`t do that ,I’ve come close to choking on my lemonade
And back to practice ,day 18 of practice D and it will be very hot again this week and weekend today and tomorrow mornings making meters/time, so I expect an attempt at a 2nd video next week,
So now 20 practice days of hard (and fun) practice and many many hours later, especially on the last days I have done quite long Canon sessions and 4 to 5 times a day …
I don’t write it down on paper anymore because I can now keep well in my head until here since day 12 (depending how you look at it), but I have now finished up to and including part 3 in the parts I divided myself into, I think, 5 pieces…I start piece 4 after 1:50, but apparently that is not yet clear in my head, the beginning, which is a shame because soon there will be a repeat piece that I already know
I had the tutorial until minute 33, only 8 minutes to go …and then and then 1 more practice video and then long and quiet practice, consolidation and more more more
It takes some getting used to playing such a long, varied piece and I had planned to post the first attempt… but I really couldn’t do that to anyone, but this is one from about 15 attempts and I think around the middle… I am moderately positive and the best part of the day was watching that first video this morning before I just started recording.
Small note: Uh Silvia @Silvia80 , when I went through the beginning of the tutorial and my eyes were open to the screen , I saw this week that there are Tabs … I will definitely use them for the last piece …fogive me , but the nice thing is that in the piece he is playing he plays an extra note here and there that I also play now and probably wouldn’t otherwise, but I’m a bit tired of figuring it out now for hours a day…
Well , here it is, happy me
Part 2
Greetings and I hope you like it allready
.
This is for later just for me when the memorie start to
That was so sweet and beautiful. It’s one of my all time favourite classical pieces and you played it so well already. Impressive, what becomes achievable with 20 days of dedicated practice!
I can’t even imagine to remember all the different notes right now.
Very well done and I am looking forward to see the “final performance” soon!
Hi Lisa @Lisa_S that was because the last chord should have been a very nice full 2-string pick of a Bm , which I was really looking forward to, that’s why I made a few more recordings, but unfortunately that didn’t outweigh this one …
Ho Ho ,not so fast ,first another practice one and then …
Thank you very much for the compliments
and I actually didn’t dare hope when I started listening the first time that this would go so quickly to this point, but I realize that the real finishing and almost flawless in many ways will take a lot of time and breaks, I always fly in the beginning.
But I really enjoy doing this with multiple videos this way…and it also gives me a huge learning leap knowing that I am going to post something, just so much more focus, I am amazed at it…and that surprises me that I am surprised about that
I’ve actually been wondering for a while whether Vincent is taking up all your time or whether playing the guitar is still an almost daily thing for you now?
Really good Rogier. Well done, your diligent practise is paying off. I like the tone you’ve got too, it suits the piece. It sounds like medieval lute.
As for the photo of your sheet of music memoir… it looks like double Dutch to me.
Hoi Gordon @sairfingers
Thank you very much ,and what nice/funny about that tone from this guitar ,i heard that before ,it is a good thing I did also more amp reverb than normal
but it was not for you
Okay, even for me there are things that are difficult to read and I no longer understand everything and why I wrote it down.
I hope you have a wonderfull session with them ,I melt at the thought…
And I am also going to close now because I have just made a reservation at yes yes… De Italian … and have to be ready on time for a friend and when my girlfriend come home in a minute
Haha, now I understand the shaking head. Totally relatable.
Take your time and more steps until “the final performance”. I will follow happily until it’s time and enjoy your recordings. Even better if this approach helps you to get it under your fingers quicker.
Still not much playing, all my callouses gone. Sometimes I play a little for Vincent, but that’s all at the moment. Mostly, I’m still too tired in the evenings and during the day, there’s hardly time, because of other life stuff. But it’s ok, I fully enjoy the time with our little one and he is growing so fast, I actually can’t believe it myself.
Beautiful, Rogier, you’ re making incredible progress ! Good to see, what diligent practice can achieve, although I believe, I could practice this one for the rest of my life, without ever getting there .
A wonderful piece of music, wonderfully played. Thanks for posting!
Have a nice weekend !
Feed the younger one less and you will enjoy it longer, I often say to parents… or am I forgetting something
Aa your time will come eventually he has to go out during the day and before you know it he is in the pub or with a girlfriend or friends
Well Andrea @Helen0609 I still have to do a whole piece that I haven’t even watched more than 4 times and certainly haven’t tried , and getting the whole thing on video without too many mistakes is going to take a really really really long time,
but I also have to say that so far it’s going much faster than I dared to dream after a day or so.
Thank you for the nice words and I hope you don’t waste all your money with nice words because it really needs to be improved a lot
Hi Brian @brianlarsen
because of you I went to look at my video channel … and I must say that I am amazed that there are so few videos with me and a white t-shirt … I really have a huge pile of white shirts (and I usually grab the ones on the washing line because that saves cleaning up) so I often wear the same ones …
It also feels quite nice to post something with a few major mistakes and not complete, knowing that it will ultimately become a video with even so much better results… (oh yes, a pin in AVOYP should be it, I said so probably not this year )
Het zal nog wel even duren but with a lot of breaks in between, but what techniques I learn from this song will bring me a lot in the near future…
Thank you again both and have a great weekend and I just saw on the news that if all goes well, there with you Toby is just on the right edge in France in terms of weather
Tomorrow we will fall over the edge, just like much of Europe…so last day of good practice here
well…actually no rain here …bummer , although it didn’t look that way at times, but 30+ from tomorrow (in my place 34c) and in some parts of the Netherlands in 2 days 36/37… that’s very unusual
very uncomfortable, especially for our cat and many other animals
Oh nice and short you there too, and with those thick walls you will keep it cool for a while
Patience, patience ! I’m still enjoying my little secret and decided to let you twist in the wind… . I just went out to buy some spare strings…, I swear !
Wish you a nice Sunday!
We’re having a lovely spell up in Scotland at the moment…low to mid 20s whilst down in the south of England they have a heat wave with tv warnings about sunstroke! I’ve got a golf pal who is just back from an expensive holiday where they flew to Tokyo then joined a cruise ship for a weeks cruise round Japan. It was so wet they couldn’t see Mount Fuji. We can’t control the weather that’s for sure!
