This Lullaby By Queens Of The Stone Age Cover
I play better when I don’t record a song.
Because it needs to be perfect and when you make one mistake, probably nobody would here that mistake you start again.
Roland
Many of us play better without the pressure of knowing your being recorded.
Enjoyed your playing. The guitar part sounded like a lost John Renbourn piece; your performance was good.
Keep on recording.
Brian
Thank you very much.
Glad you like it.
Next song will be Have you ever seen the rain.
I am also going to be more active in this Community.
Roland
Great choice for your next performance. I have the vinyl “Pendulum” on which it’s one of the tracks.
Looking forward to it.
Brian
Sister golden hair was the next song on my list.
Have you ever seen the rain comes after that.

I think one of my best recording but there is a noise on it like a wind is blowing. I don’t know where it came from. Maybe from the mic.
Nice recording Roland, not a song I’m familiar with but really well played and sung
Assuming you’re using a condenser then yeah it’s probably background noise, is the gain quite high? I find that my PC fan get’s picked up in certain mic placements when recording acoustic and vocals through my condenser. So many things to think about!
I used a macbook. It is not from it because the microphone was on my left side and the macbook on the right side. Maybe something wrong with the connection.

Hat’s off to you sir! You have your own sense of tone and sound, and you have been at it for some time. You are an inspiration. Play on playa!
Thank you very much.
That is just coincidence. I wanted to sound like the original.
The next recording is going to be You’re beautiful and Dreamers Waltz. Dreamers waltz is a song from me. I will play it in the key of G with I,VI,IV,V. Maybe I do a few 6th and 9th in it. G,Em,C and D are fine but it needs more vareations.
Good job bro keep on rocking.
Thank you.

No dreames waltz right now.
I still don’t now how the song should sound.
i–vi–IV–V for the vers and vi–ii–V–I for the bridge.
Chorus is like the vers only backwards. It is going to be in the key of G with a few 9th in it.
Hi,
I took in Jolene. To me your guitar work shows good improvement, yet I have listened to your offerings for years. I see little to no growth on your vocals. Do you want to improve that aspect of your performances? If so, you need to work on them, just like you did to get to where you are at on guitar. Let me know here if you want to improve your vocals and I will offer up some tips.
All the best,
LB
Thank you.
I think the vocals improved a little bit. At least in a few songs.
Sure I want to improve my vocals.
I have a few breathing exercises.
What tips do you have?
Hi,
I hear a bit of vocal progress, but it does not match your guitar progress. Simply being honest in my thoughts.
You have likely heard of Chris Liepe, the vocal coach, prior. His overall YouTube channel is here. I would spend some time looking through the massive amounts of free material he has put together. It is hard to know where to start.
I did a little looking around and found this introductory video that also shares a free course on fixing one’s pitch. It is likely relevant and can possibly help you.
Take a look at the above. Let me know what you think and if you will work on it. I can then share some more on lessons I have taken locally. One on pitch really helped me. I still have work to do as well. But I am working on it.
All the best,
LB
I use this one on truefire but I don’t use it as often as I should
Well,
If you think about it, the amount of work put in on vocals will need to be as much as guitar in some ways. Folks will listen to your guitar play and be happy. But the moment you open your mouth and sing, the ballgame changes and they focus on your voice. Thus, if your going to sing, you need to put in the work to get it up to your guitar play.
Also, consider the voice can be thought of as a fretless instrument. Ear training becomes a key element in vocal training. You have to hear when your off pitch compared to the underlying music. This takes time. On guitar you have frets and as long as you fret the guitar right your play will be on pitch. Not so with voice pitch. I see the link you posted has some work with SOLFEGE. That really helped me. I would play the major scale up and down the neck and across for about 6 notes, matching my voice to each note as I went. I can give more details, but if your not going to use it or do it, then it is not worth the time to post it. Your call mate!
Cheers,
LB
