My first recording on here 
I’m currently in Grade 2, just got to the beginning actually and I posted a few days ago about my strumming which I think has gotten way better with the great advice people gave me. I’m so grateful for this community and I decided to share a video of me singing (and playing of course)
the sailor song by Gigi Perez.
I still have a long way to go with coordination and timing but one step at a time right?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and what I can improve on in the future.

Nice, i dig it. I like the strumming, good rhythem the whole time throughout plus your vocals sound really good as well.
Hi there. An important skill most beginners miss is keeping the hand moving and you have that down for sure. I suggest to miss a few strums (as in don’t hit the strings but keep the hand moving) here and there to improve dynamics. Great job!

Strumming is good, but your beautiful voice is too muted. I want more of it!
Sounds great! This was one I learned too. I agree with the others. Your voice is great and your timing is good. The only tip I could give you, which is a hard one to explain but…don’t focus so much on the strumming pattern. Keep it in your mind as a base and keep your arm moving but don’t think about it too much, just feel it. Honestly, watching accoustic versions of the songs I liked made it click for me (Gigi Perez actually has a version on YouTube of just her singing and playing-which in my opinion is really good). Sometimes it crushes you but other times you realize wow…hearing this stripped makes this music thing sound attainable. You’re at a great spot. Keep grinding and the rest will come to you
Thank youuu, I’m really trying to improve my singing while playing, I find I get out of breath really easily

Oh that’s really interesting, I think for me, I’d need to play it enough times to be able to sing without focusing on the strumming and I hadn’t done much of that for this song😅 Something I need to work on. I for sure need to watch Gigi’s version now haha
That’s a pretty good recording for grade 2, Demilade. Strumming will possibly benefit by tightening it up a bit and I’d like to hear you nice sounding voice a little higher in the mix.
