SURVEY: name 3 BBQ / guitar buddy / guitar club / play-along songs you like

My first ideas:

San Francisco Scott Mc Kenzie
Mull of Kintyre Wings (before Imagine or Let it be)
Wonderful Tonight Eric Clapton

after having a Quick Look on the list above: some not mentioned before and more beginner-isch - I think.

I hadnā€™t heard Four Strong Winds in a long long time. Itā€™s a great sing along piece and easy to learn. Also one you can practice playing with all barre chords or all triads to work those guitar muscles.

I nearly suggested Good Riddance and Donā€™t look back in Anger. Good choices. As you have such good taste Iā€™ll check out the Pearl Jam one you suggested.

As Coda says, people who live in a non english speaking country donā€™t sing english songs, therefore I would actually add an other constraint:

  • songs with international versions.

So I would also select those:

  • San Francisco Scott Mc Kenzie
  • House of the rising sun
  • Take Me Home Country Roads

I would like ā€œanother day in paradiseā€ by Phil Collins, but I donā€™t know if it meets the other criteria.

Green Day, Good riddance,
Mr Young, Heart of Gold.
Foo Fighters, Times like these.
No Barre Chords needed on any of the above and pretty simple strumming patterns, great fun to play as well.
