Please join me for this year’s seasonal Vintage Club. My remit does not usually include teaching song lessons, but hey, what the heck. I’m putting away my natural inclination to be a little bit Grinchy, parking the Bah humbug to one side, and embracing the seasonal spirit.
We going to learn a festive favourite, a classic Christmas crooner, we’re going to wish for the snowflakes to fall. The song is Let It Snow and we take inspiration from the Dean Martin version. All we need are some simple open chords and a little bit of swing rhythm.
Just to thank you for a great year of learning and thoroughly enjoyed Let it Snow tonight. Even though for some bizarre reason I couldn’t get Winter Wonderland lyrics out of my head, another Dean Martin classic. So that made for an interesting night! All the best for Christmas and New Year.
Thank you Richard @Richard_close2u for a hugely enjoyable lesson last night. If only I could make my fingers make the Dm - A7 - Dm changes at the necessary tempo might have something that sounds half reasonable, I know, practice and it’ll come.
Wishing you a Merry Xmas and a Happy, Peaceful New Year.
I had to miss you Richard due to a technical malfunction here…
Hope you enjoyed doing a song lesson .you do a good/natural way of teaching that other stuff here as if you were trained for it
