Waltzing Matilda -Chords&Melody

Just taking the photo makes me think that it should also exist in my LL as a group photo, but I won’t delve into that Pandora’s box… but it deserves a place of its own as the first dream guitar… (originally the dream guitar had to color those those of Mari’s guitar are a Black American and therefore not a Silver player) but in terms of model it is correct…

Looking at it like this makes me want to play again and more than a lick with the same feeling as the beginning, only at that time I knew 10(?) chords by name…
I’m going to build a support out of pillows :sunglasses:
Thanks

Your words, not mine

You do know there is a search box function, don’t you?
(Go to messages, search ‘waltzing…’ in messages > one result )

Have a nice day

Ooooh, nice guitar btw.
I’d be jealous if all my guitar (hardware) needs weren’t already satisfied

That is a beauty  love the silver strat.

I have taken a little «ownership» in Tuvas Strat  and made it all black.

Yeah, wow - shows how hard these chord melody pieces are! Takes ages, even with the breaks.

Nice tone there Rogier
Let’s have a couple more verses though!
I agree with you about Dm - it’s the chord I too have the most trouble finding cleanly

What do you think … So I had no idea that this one up there also worked for the PM :see_no_evil: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :dizzy: :upside_down_face: :man_facepalming:
Thank you

Thanks Trond @tRONd
And I do remember that one …I like that also very much and while posting the photo I was thinking of how how her guitar journey is going… just say that we want to hear a song or part of a song from her

Hi JK @jkahn ,
at least for me, but I am looking forward to one with approximately the same difficulty grade because learning should of course go faster and faster… and it remains special how I still struggled with the last one from Dm in the morning and in the afternoon it went well and since then (at least 10 more times played) it has been without any bumps…tja when the penny drops

Hi Ruaridh @Eccleshall
Thank you and nice to hear from you …and no no no I play the Justin way/lesson :sunglasses:(if that suits me )
Have fun with it

the master at work. I’m so glad I asked you to post more often as that was really great but I just wished I had been more specific regarding the duration. you can tell that you have really made an effort learning as you made it look effortless. Bis Bis

Very slick playing Rogier.
Although I was a bit sad that it stopped just as I was preparing my lungs to belt out the chorus
Thanks for sharing

Bravo!!!
Very nice, smooth and apparently effortless playing of a song I remember learning in Music class when I was about 9 years old! Our teacher back then was an Aussie who had married an American GI during WWII who was from Santa Fe New Mexico… at any rate, she taught us to sing Waltzing Matilda, Click go the Shears, Wild Colonial Boy & the Kookaburra Song…
Needless to say, your song made me nostalgic for my youth!!! Also, had to immediately look up the music/chords and give it a strum or two!

Thank you my friend!!!

Hi Sandro @Dro_1 and Tod @CATMAN62
Thank you very much for your nice words who give me a  with my morning tea :sunglasses:
Too short is a recurring theme which is funny because “we” here and certainly I mainly know 1 well-known version, but it is certainly not something that is learned here at a young age or not very well known by most older people … For my wife this is even the only version  so she doesn’t suffer from sing-along problems that are brutally stopped

I take it as a great compliment to evoke nostalgic feelings :man_bowing:

Greetings :sunglasses:

Now Trond, if memory serves me correctly your daughter’s strat had a nice white pickguard and pickups
Please tell me you gave it the 'punky Larsen’ treatment of indelible black marker, rather than throwing all your Kroner at some luthier to do your dirty deeds :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

He He … It still works a little
I really like that blue and black better … :sunglasses:

Trond @tRONd will you shut his pie hole please?

I’m (one of ) the last to mind a hijacking… but abuse (and more words I`m not allowed to write) a beautiful fender is something where I draw a line in the sand. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:… or at least you should have put a parental watch with or other warning before the kid(s) go mad

Great beautiful song that your post is now playing in the background :sunglasses:
it brings back a memory of having us listen to it before

Hahahaha… black marker?? Nope. Bought a black kit and swapped it out myself
Turns out i had to adjust the pickup heights afterwards, but a few youtube vids and all good…. I hope

Aggree with @roger_holland though… black pickguard looks good…

Tuva is still going strong, ( she is so much better than me it almost makes me depressed. And she learns things 5 times faster than me too, i am jealous and thinking about seizing her Epi aswell… )
but she does not use the strat at all. So thats mine now :partying_face:
