A cracking film Mr P !
This is exactely what I immediatelly thought, when I watched Brians video compilation! An epic movie!
2 Brians for the price of 1.
Iāll see your classic Hollywood and Spaghetti Westerns and add in to the mix:
A Fistful Of Travellersā Cheques.
Ha Brian,
First, we have to get a couple of things out of the way so I can proceed to my comments on your wonderful creation and offeringā¦
- You crack me up mateā¦ āVideo used without permissionā. - Honesty in words, at its finest!
- There is enough firepower shown here to stop an army! But if I recall from a while back on my post of āThey call me Aceā. You seemed to feel firing a couple missiles from a jet plane was uncouth. Frankly I donāt see an issue with either one. But I figured I had to bring it due to a seeming contradiction?
With the above out of the way I want to say this is one of your better productions and I enjoyed it fully. It meshed well with the uh, āborrowedā video. No problems with that on my end as I uh, do it all the time as wellā¦ Is not Internet sharing a grand deal?
You Larsenās do indeed have a lot of talent and I enjoy your productions. This one is near the top of the pile IMHO. Well done and keep up the good vibe. You sure have come a long ways from your simpler days and the kind comments here are well deserved!
Be well,
LB
12 points for you LBro I thought almost exactly the same thing and also with the commentary on your video back then ā¦And I also wanted to mention that for an outspoken pacifist this was a lot of violence,
but gave him a āget out of my commentā card ā¦thanks for bringing this up
(and now I fear his reply )
Greetings
Yeah, me tooā¦
But then again, what is a few missals between friends?
LB
Another great Larson family production Brian and very entertaining as always. I love spaghetti westerns so the video was right up my street. There must be so much work required to coordinate these family/friends productions. Well done my friend.
@Avalon426 Thank you so much Jasmine. Much appreciated
@DavidP I couldnāt help but think of you putting this together-
Every time I shifted a video clip a little box popped up saying āThe Good, The Bad & The Uglyā
@pkboo3 Thanks Pam, always a treat to have you drop in
Iām pretty fluent in English & German (and Swiss dialect). Reasonable French, smatterings of Danish, Italian & Spanish. Oh, and some Latin memories from school
I do love words and language though.
For all those Once Upon a Time in the West proponents, I did not wish for Claudia Cardinale to distract from my art.
@Richard_close2u
Bog off!
(Loved the Comic Strip. I was hoping this was going to be a spoof song, but will watch the full shebang later)
@LBro
First, I have to get something out of the way, so I can proceed to my comments on yours & @roger_hollandās complaintsā¦
Thank you for dropping by, listening, watching, commenting and being so positive about the production. Very generous
Haha, love it- a bit of a debateā¦
I agree with you wholeheartedly, Brother,
I was brought up in a Yank school in the 60ās. Our entertainment consisted of WWII, Cowboys & Indians, and Cops & Robbers. My brothers and I collected knives, made our own bows and arrows, and played with real functioning Afghani flintlock rifles. I nearly joined the Irish Army in the early 90s.
How did I turn out to be such a well-balanced, committed pacifist?
Simple:
Rational, consistent thought. (It helps a lot when you have children that you have to explain how the world works to!)
I do enjoy dark/negative subject matter in art (mine included). The Devil, death, drugs, murder etc. pop up quite often. That doesnāt mean I approve of them.
I vaguely recall the incident youāre referring to, but I am guessing I perceived it as an admiration of military force/potential which I find problematic, esp. when being suggested as solutions to current disagreements.
These spaghetti gunfight scenes (although authentically intended at the time), now appear to me as almost comical slapstick.
Thanks for the āslackā Rogier, but this non-packinā-cowpoke is a pachyderm .
Apologies for re-iterating the obvious, Brother, but Dutchy sometimes struggles with the lingo and may not have picked up your excellent word-play on missals (google it if necessary)
Ah, look who popped up as I was composing my replyā¦
My good friend @sairfingers
Now thereās a straight-talkinā, strait-shootinā dude, if I ever saw one!
Much obliged, Hombre!
But we shanāt enter into a debate as to who earns which monicker. Unless it refers specifically to guitar playing, in which case Iāll grab āThe Badā and leave you āThe Uglyā which I mean in the nicest kind of way. I can say this suitably tongue-in-cheek since reasonably fair to say neither of us would dare to claim āThe Goodā
And indeed your audience
And all I wanted to hear wasā¦ you guys are right and sweet, Iām a dummy and here I am sending you some nice guitarā¦ and the pleasure of your face at the end and āthe uglyā joke had also not been granted
And
craperdecrapcrap ā¦ completely missed ā¦
ā¦
Iam out now , here a little from me
I plead the 5thā¦
I shall put on my brace of a club for the fret thumb and try to play guitar!
Best wishes to all!
LB
Brilliant again, Brian (& co.)! Thoroughly enjoyable! Keep 'em coming!
Yes, definitely agree with Rogier!
Ah, wise decision
You go, my Brother, and have a great day!
@nzmetal Cheers Jeff
After a bit of a āflurryā, I donāt have any more projects in the pipeline.
Thatās ok, as it means I might actually play a bit of guitar instead of messing around with (the grim) Reaper trying to make it sound like I can
Looking forward to your next outing, solo or with band
That was so sweet! Loved the video and the vocal story. Good job! This sounded like a big project and paid off! Nice job man!
Loved everything about the entire production Brian. . The lyrics, the vocals, the video, the lot!
Thanks for the listen and thumbs up @Bytron08 -
I see youāve jumped into the abyss of the DAW-pool yourselfā¦ with fab results
@Eddie_09 on the other hand, avoids the confuse, and sits on his porch- amused by his muse
Cheers mate. Have a nice weekend
Dude i tell ya what this stuff is addicting lol
Ahhhhh, Claudiaā¦ā¦
So good (looking at leastā¦ acting ) in so many filmsā¦.
Wait. Did someone post a video? Was there guitar related material here somewhere?
Must have been DISTRACTED!!!
Seriously, kudos to you Brian @brianlarsen !!!
Spaghetti Westerns were my fatherās favorite & if we went to a theater as kids, thatās what Dad took us to see! Thanks for the memory refresher & your amusing lyrics!!!
Eagerly awaiting your next!
Iāll even make you a suggestionā¦ a āLarsen Specialā tribute with a Hitchhikerās Guide to the Galaxy themeā¦. Guitar shaped spaceship strumming through a wormhole maybe??? Could be fun!!!
Tod
Cheers, Tod
As a teenager, I used to dial in BBC World Service on shortwave to listen to catch this gem
Funny you should mention it- my last collab was called Wormhole
