@TheMadman_tobyjenner
from our chat earlier this week. I thought you might like this
Thatās darn spooky Rick, I was watching this last night. Great track ! On the other āprojectā I found a new YT entry from Rolling Stone In My Room. Its double screened acoustic and LP and very clear on whatās going on. Thereās a political intro so canāt post here. Will PM.
Great share.
Cheers
Toby
After the previous YT video, another favorite of mine played after it, ā¦ you also see another acquaintance who can do something good on a guitar,ā¦check,
Tom morello is going completely crazy hereā¦
In my search for new(ish) generation instrumental guitar I came across this, absolutely mind blowing, the composition intricacies are fantastic!
I honestly thought that Iād heard it all but they manage to pull this off with a pretty clean guitar tone, itās purely by the skill of the arrangement.
The band is called Polyphia and the track is G. O. A. T.
Aztec Camera ā¦ oh yes, for certain. Roddy Frame basically was Aztec Camera in a creative sense.
Here he is playing a favourite song from his solo album Surf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY5aqNugb0I
I remember him going solo but didnāt really follow him, same thing with Paul Weller when he went solo I sort of lost interest.
Right up my alley too, Rick; thanks for the share.
What a player, what a voice.
@TheMadman_tobyjenner Toby, sounds interesting, please also message me the link.
@TheMadman_tobyjenner glad I signed the NDA, the music was FABULOUS.
That led me to this.
Long live rock 'n roll !!
ā I would like to do one of my favorite rock and roll songs!ā
I love everything about this clip.
Gimme that honky tonk woman ā¦ and more cowbell
Somebody around here has mentioned Kacey Musgraves a couple of times, I think. I know John Prine has been mentioned. Hereās Kacey singing about John Prine to John Prine.
Warren is just amazing. I donāt know how it could get any better.
Great share, Roger! Thatās always been one of my favorite Buddy Guy songs and Morello and the Boss together for Tom Joad is an awesome performance. Those two are just about a perfect match to do this song together. Morelloās skills in the last 2 minutes are very cool, but even without that part this was a really good performance.
Dang Darrell! How come Iāve never heard of Joanna Connor?? Little Wing performance rocks, and then she starts absolutely shredding at the end. I think When the Levee Breaks might be my all-time favorite blues standard, partially because it is based on the real Mississippi River flood of 1927. I was born just about within spittinā distance of the Mississippi River levee in Helena, Arkansas and I grew up hearing stories about that flood and several others in later years. So when you post a new (to me) version of Levee Breaks it sends me into a rathole on YouTube listening to different versions.
I also went chasing some other Joanna Connor performances. How about this one:
Iād like to get a little more info about this āJim Carty BBQā in Norwood, Mass. Thatās right up the road from me. If itās an annual event I will have to crash that BBQ next time!
I love this one - I remember exactly where and when I first heard this song. I was 6 years old, and my Aunt Carrie had this on a 45rpm single. I was absolutely hooked from the first cowbells. I didnāt know exactly what a Honky Tonk Woman was, but I was pretty sure I wanted to find out more!
Haha I was in two minds between that and Little wing, but hey it was a great Hendrix performance that I really liked as well! Sheās a monster slide player aināt she?
