That was amazing. I cant believe that Jefferson Airplane did that before the Beatles and dont get the cred for it. They were robbed, but were so cool they didnât even care.
Thanks for sharing those 2 vids

One of my favourite artists, tooâŚ
For the next 6 months, a whole lot of blues! This song has really caught my attention though. It will be a great use of my brass bodied resonator.
One of the best bands you can see live these days. Does not matter if they are playing a small club for 100 people or opening for Guns Nâ Roses on a football stadium, they always give it all.
Yeah they ainât too shoddy are they Luka !
Iâm still hanging with JJ
Everytime you bring JJ, I think of JJ Cale (also a worthy listen on your blues journey).
The Last Internationale are doing a French headlining tour in March I think, not sure if they are playing anywhere your neck of the woods, but if they are, definitely worth checking out.
But thanks to your and @TheCluelessLuthier Markâs musical suggestions, I am still fighting the GAS to buy a resonator. So far Iâve been successful in this battle of âbuy another guitar I donât needâ (even thoughâŚa resonator is not a guitar, so technically itâs a different instrument)
Oh for sure has been and will be. Last thing of his I was looking at was âSame Old Blues Againâ that inspired Skynyrd.
LI most likely Paris or way south of me but you never know !
That song is in my regular rotation. I really like Keb Mo, and thatâs a fun one to play.
Thanks to Todâs @CATMAN62 message in my NGD topic I discovered that rockabilly is basically rockânâroll and went to listen to Brian Setzer. What an amazing player! Thatâs the skill level my new Gretsch needs and I have some doubts that Iâll be able to reach it, but what I can do is to enjoy the music.
Glad youâre enjoying Brianâs style, Artem!!
If youâve ever heard The Stray Cats, then youâve heard Brian Setzer⌠he was the guitarist for that band⌠some pretty cool rock!!!
Another famous Gretsch artist was Duane Eddy⌠some tasty twang there!!!
Tod
âSexy & Seventeenâ was one of the anthems when I had just graduated High School⌠my buddies loved the line âI ainât goinâ to school NO Moreâ⌠we were just out of school & had no intention of going to college or any other school at that point!!!

I started to gradually get back to playing the guitar alongside the bass, and I decided to work on the riff from this song. Itâs a pretty good workout for playing octaves cleanly along the fretboard. And the song is groovy, too.
Hey I am glad you found them.
Straycats strut.
Hes a real casinova yeah a ladys man.
He got cat class and hes got cat style.
Walk down followed by a sweet Gretsch riff.
Some Gretsch out in the world.
The Cult
Poison Ivy of the Cramps, she really could rip it up.
Mike Ness of Social Distortion. Mostly uses a Gibson but he definitely loves a fine Gretsch.
Brian Seltzer and Mike Ness ripping it up togeather playing âI Fought the Law and the Law Wonâ
That was cool. Cohen was an amazing writer.
