Nice! I was listening to their latest album the other day. I had shied away because Iād seen them called metal and Iām not usually a metal guy, but this was something else. Great record. I think I got into them because of a post here a few months ago!
@Ontime , @djdrysdale
Jason, David, thanks. Iām just waiting for the gig to start now. Iāve been listening to their latest album today - House of Mirrors - and I think I like it even more than their previous one (Nothing as the ideal), which I thought was great.
Regulars on my Spotify Blues Rock playlists. Watched a few of their tube vids and they seem pretty solid live. Enjoy the show ! ![]()
@TheMadman_tobyjenner
Thanks Toby. They were great.
Just went through this. Tiny Desk & NPR usually offer some great stuff, and once again this is really nice.
edit: Damn! I donāt remember how to link a YT video ![]()
Rodrigo y Gabriela are brilliant. I follow their youtube channel, they are on tour in Japan right now.
@TDS17 thanks for posting this.
I wasnāt aware of RyG and I spent the last couple of hours mesmerized browsing their YT channel.
This collaboration with Metallicaās Rob Trujillo is pure fire ![]()
More Jack Johnson ![]()
Just a little bit obsessed atm

I would love to be able to play guitar sorta like him one dayā¦

Iāve just discovered this live recording and, man!, Iāve never thought you could make a whole song built around just ONE chord (E, becoming E7 at some points) and still make it sound awesome!
Remover the question mark and the stuff after it. ![]()

Thanks! ![]()
Nice one! Derek Trucks looks so young!
I didnāt recognize the first guitarist (leftmost from our POV)
Doyle Bramhall II ? I think⦠Heās left-handed and often played with EC.
I have been digging on Khruangbin and Leon Bridges lately, this song is called B-Side.
Khruangbin is the trio on instruments and they are out of Texas. They hooked up with Leon Bridges and he did vocals for a couple of LP and they have been touring since. I would like to catch one ofnthe shows. The shows are super wild often part of crazy and trippy festivities.
You know I had to learn the cool funk riff too. So rad. ![]()
@Boris1565 Enjoy
!
These guys are always worth a listen.
This popped up in my YT feed and was a nice interlude, with a feel of Within Temptation and Evanescence but the female vox has a slightly different twist and good to boot !!
Last year I started working on an OT entitled Deadman Walking, inspired by Skynyrd and a couple of other tracks of the same name. I parked it as I nearly lost my other half due to a cerebral virus thatās still impacting both our lives today. The track name made it too raw to pursue after those events but time moves on.
Against The Current ticks a few boxes for me and they are a real band out there touring, unlike the influx of AIToobers in this and other genres !
Time to resurrect the project ? Maybe its time but still raw. End of the day as the Irons once wrote āAs soon as youāre born youāre dyingā. Weāre all on borrowed time.
Keep it real, keep it pure and keep it rockin !
It was incredible! I canāt believe they are 60+, they still play like they are in their twenties. You couldnāt notice drop in quality and energy was definitely there. I canāt wait for a new set on Sunday. ![]()
This is Fade to Black intro on the Greeny. That guitar had some incredible journey!
For all the Swifties, all the lovers
