What are you currently listening to 2026?

Not sure if I exactly qualify as a swifty. Modern pop is not my thing but she does have a few good songs. Whoever plays acoustic guitar on some of her studio recordings is top shelf. She also has a good production team who actualy know what they are doing. Most studios produce ear splitting trash but she’s smart to get good people around her.

She most likely doesn’t play guitar on her studio recordings but she does play guitar during some of her live performances and she plays well.

Just love YungBlud and always loved Aerosmith so this one is one I’m listening to a lot. They haven’t lost their touch. I bought the 12" EP. Love it.

I like this one where she explains the backstory which led her to this song.

Came across the Irish band Cardinals on YouTube recently and really enjoyed their newest album, Masquerade. Got a love a band with an indie rock sensibility that can rock a squeezebox!

I love it! :sparkles:
I know it’s probably not ‘cool’ but I think Taylor is amazing
She’s talented, smart, hardworking, a great businesswoman, SO resilient AND from everything I’ve heard, read, seen about her she seems like a lovely person.
I have a lot of respect for her :star_struck:

What a great recording, I have seen this show back in the day on VHS, it was not the the greatest copy.

This show is amazing too. Rita Marley and the other back up singers have such amazingly beautiful voices. The sound is really good as well. Thanks for posting this full show. I wish someone would fix the full show from Santa Barbara from 1979. That is a classic show.

Oh Junior Marvin does not get enough credit.

Jah  rastafari :dominica:

@Silvia80 She was just a pop star and my girls liked her for years. I honestly didn’t know much about her or care. Her music is what it is, well made with a good beat for dancing and usually great hook. But then I heard about what Scooter Braun did to her. I already did not like him through a couple of interactions. I was unlikely to side with that guy, as I suspected when I figured out the details it was as I thought. He is lame and not a good person, IMO.

I think how she delt with the masters of her music and her battle with Scooter Braun was Dope as hell.

She really did good for herself and I admire how that she took control of that. It took time amd patience. Not many people in the industry are able to rally their fans like that, it is really amazing when you realize what she did and how she accomplished how she did it.

A beautiful song, beautifully played and sung. ‘Fortune’ by Laura Marling.
