If you enjoyed this one you need to look for more of her! I suggest Asturias, on that same YT channel, the way she makes use of dynamics is even more astonishing in that one!

Ana plays beautifully.
I attach a piece played by my favourite classical guitarist, Paul Galbraith. He was involved in the design of the eight string guitar he plays. The wider range that guitar offers has enabled him to transcribe works by Bach and, as here, Mozart.

I had to do some house cleaning this morning before some friends arrive for the weekend and I put this LP on, not sure why just thought it would be good to hear again.
I picked it up very cheaply in July 2021 and thought it was great back then. Having just spent a year on BLIM I think I am now hearing it with new ears, I may be wrong but I suspect that Bo Diddley was a big influence on SRV you can clearly hear that fast shuffle feel on the last track. The fast and relentless interplay between Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley is amazing,
I have put some interesting liner notes below the album, cover, it’s an amazing and effectively a live studio recording, shows you how great musicians they are. It is well worth listening to.
I followed up with Dave Edmunds, again you can clearly hear the influences of both Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley.

I’ve been listening to (again!) David Gilmour’s Luck & Strange Concerts, which has some amazing songs & performances. The version of 5 AM is absolutely sublime.

The full 16mm footage shot by Peter Whitehead and Ernie Vincze from the 1970 Bath festival show is now avalible on You Tube. What I read this morning is that apparently it has been hidden since 1970, many suspected it was packed away but unfinished. LEDZEPFILMS did release like 10 mins of it a few years back but then veru quickly took it down. I dont know why.
What was released today or last night was the whole thing. It was synced with music from the audience other recordings but there are spots without dound and the film used was only for daytime so its not the best. I am just starting it now and it looks pretty cool to me.
I hope you Zeppelin fans find it interesting.

That is interisting Brian, I also found interisting the way he holds the guitar…at the beginning of the video you see there’s a kind of support similar to those of cellos. He plays beautifully too!
Have a look at this guitar (13 strings if I’m counting well)…I find the bass to be so full and round! I wonder he might be fretting only the melody notes.

Inspired by a recent @GrumpyMac cover from the same venue, I took a dive back into one of my favourite live albums from the mid 70s. The ultimate blues rock from a band who were often slated for their “limited ability” ala “they only know three chords”. But turned out some cracking solos and solid rock rhythm !
But sometime 3 chords is all you need - see 2nd vid - but they were more sophisticated then many thought and never an easy band to cover.
What sounds simple, never is and that is the secret of great music and great bands !!

It is such a powerful statement, especially when sung.
Since I started playing guitar, I don’t watch it anymore. My husband does, so the device sits in the corner of the room without a chair in front of it; it is just a small screen, after all.

He is probobly my favorite living guitar player.
Check out “Shadows Collide with People” and “Curtains”. Curtains is all acoustic.
Honestly he has so much good stuff its hard to single any out. I have been a big fan of his since "Mothers Milk when I first saw them live. And then i really started paying attention to his acoustic stuff after the BSSM days.
He has 12 or 13 studio solo releases of his own. Then 1 or 2 under the band Ataxia. Then he has done a bunch of collaborative albums with other bands like The Mars Volta, he even went on a tour with them. Many others, too many to even list. I wouldnt be able to remmeber many of them. He does not even take credit for a lot of stuff. He is super humble.
He actually goes by an Alt, Trickfinger. As a matter of fact just released a single from an upcoming project, although I think it was written a bit back.
