Go VR, wahoo. Where’s that bucket…

I haven’t tried VR yet myself, but hoping it’ll be in my budget in a couple of months…

They are amazing, when Meta Quest releases in Oct/Nov, I’ll probably get that. Playing Elite in VR is just amazing.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard, and thank you for confirming! There’s certainly been plenty of times when I wished I could turn my head to better see a target or my ship’s heading.

I also want a HOSAS setup to replace my HOTAS!

Ditto, mines a little old, I’m using the dual throttle and stick saitek X52. It’s still going but showing signs of it age, bit like me really lol.

I’m currently looking into a full global circumnavigation in FS2020 in VR with the public run Notam system, with real weather but time as and when i can get a full flight in. That will take some planning, need to find a plane thats got the distance but not opt for an airliner, and check to see if I have all the airports/runways for the haul.

I’ve no idea how old the HOTAS is, a Logitech T.Flight Hotas X, but it was given to me by a friend over five years ago, and one of the buttons is rather finicky, so it’s also showing signs of its age, also a bit like me.

It’s one of the buttons not directly on the stick or throttle, so that’s not the reason I’m thinking of switching. Flying with flight assist off needs to use the lateral thrusters, and the best mapping I’ve found so far puts 4 of them on the hat (with the other two on the throttle), which makes it hard to use them while also firing weapons. A second stick with six degrees would be a lot easier and more intuitive.

Wow, that looks like quite the voyage! Some folks in ED go on 1k+ lightyear trips that can last many days, but I haven’t done anything like that. Mostly just ā€œpew! pew! pew!ā€ and occasional materials collecting for the engineering grind (which I guess will eventually involve a super-long trip to Colonia). Safe travels!

Gosh, I can’t imagine going more than a few days without bounty hunting. I sometimes take a break from materials gathering in Odyssey to go back and bounty hunt in Legacy.

I play quite a bit of codm theses days. Not particularly good but i enjoy it. Dont play as much now due to playing guitar and working shifts. Never been a great gamer, never had the time, but started with the original Quake back in the mid 90s, love this game, and managed to get it on android so i can still play it. Had a PS2 and enjoyed quake 2 and 3, the getaway, SSX 3 and the need for speed games among others.

I have been a gamer since pong, gone through all the consoles and when MW3 was out I was in the top 0.3% of players in the world.
As I have aged my twitch reaction times have diminished faster than a chord.
I do still occasionally play Cod but for the last couple of years I have mostly been playing GT7 and the range of Assassin’s creed games.
Star Wars on the VR PS5 was pretty awesome for the VR experience

Well, I was looking forward to an hour or so of Horizon: Forbidden West, but, it will take the game several hours to download and then to install itself on to the PS4 system. I mean, why even sell the physical copy of the game, if the data disc is not a data disc, but only a means for downloading game files from whatever Sony’s storage they are in.

Right now i have been playing battlebit remastered… So much better than battlefield LOL! And its only made by 3 devs. Crazy…

Decided to cave-in and actually buy Baldur’s Gate III after sailing the seven seas with it for about a week. Um, they increased the difficulty I see in the legit version (e.g., in the pirated version the Devil fighting the Illithid on the space ship had 85 HP and was more or less easy to get his flaming sword after sacrificing one party member, in the legit version the Devil now has 150 HP, and killed the Illithid and my entire party in like three steps, while my party did 0 damage to it). Other than that, I’d say this game in terms of quality and narrative is on par with Witcher 3.

What am I currently playing?

ā€œVideo Gamesā€ by Lana Del Rey, of course

Great tutorial and perfect for Grade 2.
Love Justin’s beautiful cover of this song and try my best to play along.
Still keep losing each game to dreaded F-chord unfortunately :smirk:

Hey guys! I’ve been playing dark and darker and it’s a really good pvp/pve extraction game. Especially if you like fantasy/tarkov.

I just bought armored core 6 and I was skeptical at first but it’s really really good!!! I’m quite enjoying it!! Anyone else played these games?

Nope, but I heard of Armoured Core series, though!

I was a massive Call of Duty fan but the last two offerings have been really poor for online play IMO.
I still play GT 7 and have played that since GT4 as a go to game.
I have due to having the PS Premium account branched out a bit recently and Played Days Gone which was an incredible game.
Finished a few assassins Creed games (Black Flag was brilliant) and have just started Horizons Forbidden West.

Still playing Baldur’s Gate III (I think that Underdark is the last of Act 1, because I’ve done everything else there).

Summary

What I like about this game is that, um, you can choose to kill anyone, or maybe it’s the first RPG that I was compelled to do that: go to a goblin camp? They want me to talk? Nah, my party just massacred the goblins. Go to the underdark, for some reason befriend that mutant spores and go to kill of the dark dwarfs? No problem.

I really recommend this game.

Totally loving bg3 too, ridiculously fun to play and exceptionally well put together. Just working my way through the Moonrise Tower section at the moment. Playing as a bard which makes conversations pretty fun :sunglasses::+1:
