Same here with quests when they get too…yes grindy is the right word. I both like them and dislike them.

Im reading that Cyberpunk has had some updates so maybe a good portion of the bugs were ironed out.

2 Of the absolute best genre’s

Flightsim 2020 and soon to be released, Homeworld 3 and Bethesdas Starfield, this is going to be some space game. Speaking of which KSP 2 looks like it could be majorly funny.

Cant wait. but I agree, not so much playing games now but playing guitar , well if you can call it that lol.

Looking forward to Starfield. I hope it lives up to the expectation of ā€œSkyrim in spaceā€. We need more good open world (galaxy?) space sims. X4 is great but ends up as more of a menu-driven management game rather than a space flight sim. Elite is as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle… yawn-fest. Squadrons doesn’t hold a candle to the old X-Wing/Tie Fighter games of yesteryear.

But yeah, KSP 2 should be good. Loved the original… it’s one of the few games in which total, abject failure can still be fun! :rocket: :boom: :open_mouth:

I think it will, it’s been put back a couple of time, apparently the planets are completely traversable. Can you emagine just how much could be hidden away .
Gonna be dangerous to get that game lol…

Haha, that’s true! I spent so long in Skyrim exploring every last nook and cranny. If Starfield is bigger then… well, that’s my gaming sorted for a year or two.

I’ll be right along side lol.

Red Dead Redemption II on PC. After 1.5 years, I have beaten the main story and now am in epilogue Part I with John Marston. It’s a good and engaging Western game, but it has one major drawback, which forced me to make these long gaps between playing it further - it seems that 80 percent of the gameplay revolves around your character either riding long distances or walking with someone towards a shootout long distances while chatting about how Dutch has got a plan and later how your character does not believe anylonger that Dutch has a plan.

I’m eagerly waiting for Diablo 4 to release won’t get here quick enough!!!

Tears of the Kingdom!

I’ll be 100% honest. I like it a lot, but it’s not my favorite Zelda. Nor was Breath of the Wild. The crafting abilities, cooking abilities, weapon durability, and stamina gauge are all misses in my book. I get it, that’s open world games. I don’t have the patience for it, which is why I’m not big on those types of games. And it’s not historically how Zelda games were designed. But it is what it is.

The abilities in TotK are ratcheted up to 11 with potential, however, I’m not creative. At all. And some of these wacky puzzle solutuons defy not only logic, but all laws of physics.

It’s still fun. And I’ll still beat it. I guess the Zelda format I adore is long gone, never to return. Ah well.

Hi everyone,

I have just started playing Forspoken (by SquareSoft) on PS5, and it is amazing! It has some harsh language, so not appropriate for little ones.

My entire life I have loved playing various game music from Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and others on the instrument I was learning. I played the violin when I was young, and now love playing video game songs on guitar! I just recently wrote out music from the Legend of Zelda for classical guitar, and I hope to figure out music from Animal Crossing!

A couple of days ago decided to launch Miles Morales (Marvel’s Spider-Man expansion) since I have had it for about a year, but never touched it… and… well… it’s more of the same. Just with much more predictable story and who is the baddy behind the mask. Though, the combat is super fun, so that’s the game’s saving grace. However, back in my day, to pay full price as the original game for an expansion would have been unheard of*

Back in my day, jeez, sound like an old gramp.

Diablo IV came out yesterday. Hard to not play guitar while playing D4, but then hard to not play D4 when at the guitar. Life is so hard

I’m the exact same but with Tears of the Kingdom!

Gaming competes with guitar practice, so I try not to play too much, but I’m currently addicted to the space simulator game, Elite Dangerous, particularly when you turn off the flight assist to get the Newtonian physics flight model. I just love the drifty and tumbly feel you get with that.

Plus, I love that you can also fight with machine-guns instead of just beam weapons!

I have not played Video Games since I got my Guitar 1st of March this year. :upside_down_face: :guitar: :musical_note: :notes: :sunglasses:

But else I am a computer nerd with Windows/PC since late 1984 with MS-DOS 3.0 and also considered a hardcore gamer. Since the Guitar and all this music have started, I have totally dived into that. Deleted several games (Steam) and maybe also Diablo II Resucted and Diablo III. Will need to look some gameplay from Diablo IV. Didn’t know it had come. The first Diablo was something special when it came. The very first Need For Speed. - Red Alert - Chess Games and so on. LAN-parties. Renting dedicated server. Met up with few abroad (UK) via games, BF2 and early days Minecraft was a couple of the games we played. Before that, it was MS Flight Sim and MS Combat Flight Sim while talking over Roger Wilco, which was a voice over internet released in 1999. Got to talk with many live that way.

I have kept few games installed from Steam, that I enjoyed play before the Guitar journey started: Assetto Corsa Competizione (GT Racing Sim, really good sim - Have decent wheel and pedals for it also), Derail Valley (Train Sim) - Green Hell (Jungle Survival) - Hell let Loose (Hardcore WW2 FPS with up to 50 on each side online, divided in small squads - Very well made and sound, visual and feel - Only for Adults) - Then there is also Snowrunner and Space Engineers and some online Chess now and then.

Now it’s Chords, Strumming Patterns, Chords Progression, Circle of Fifth, Picking Patterns and so on. Playing with some new toy. Like Christmas. A new game and new universe  :sunglasses: :guitar: :musical_note: :notes:

PS. Forgot to mention a classic from the early days: Leisure Suit Larry Games, They were hilarious :joy: :joy: :joy:

Diablo 4 is pretty good!! Im enjoying it for sure!

Go VR, wahoo. Where’s that bucket…

Not long got Guardians of the Galaxy, fun story, looks great, odd QTE choices which piss me off and a pretty average game mechanic.

Overall OK so far but why give me 2 min of 2rd person cutscenes where you take control off me then throw a QTE at me almost randomly. Dont play half the game for me ffs.

Nice, Felix! I loved the original Elite when growing up, played it heaps on our Acorn Archimedes A3000 (late 80s I think?). Loved flying between star systems and gathering commodities for sale, tackling space pirates and avoiding police when trafficking illegal items! :joy: Great fun! :rocket::flying_saucer::satellite::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::+1:

Aw, very cool! All that stuff is still there in the latest one. I started out trading stuff and then moved onto bounty hunting. Haven’t trafficked any illegal items… well, not on purpose. I did buy some landmines once because they looked like the most lucrative item at one place and then had a hard time selling them because they were illegal in many places. Finally able to locate on a third-party website somewhere that I could sell them legally.

I actually liked that touch despite the aggravation, as it might raise some awareness of the human rights issues that landmines cause here on Earth.
