Hi Mal,
Thank you for your comment
Greetings,
Perhaps a low budget / lazy people solution to bring a slightly improved acoustics to a room like this very quick . It would be even better if I turned my amplifier up a bit, but this ensures that the sound does not come back very much through the dishwasher, the oven and the rest of the kitchen in my telephone microphone, which is normally on the piano stool…
actually a blanket over the edge of the table and I’m done
People with knowledge of this are authorized to shoot this solution
Greetings…
Hi Roger, That was really good. I enjoyed that a lot. The idea of finger picking on an electric guitar is just starting to come into my view of guitar playing. I thought that it was an ‘acoustic’ thing, but listening to you and watching Justin’s lesson on finger picking shows that is definitely not just and acoustic thing. I am looking forward to going down this route.
Looking forward to more finger picking videos.
Roger, that was very good! Your rhythm and progression seemed nice and fluid.
Justin apparently loves to set us up with his ‘relatively easy or simple’ descriptions.
I have been attempting to play this song all the way through, without pauses where none should exist (like that D to C with a high G thing) for some time now. It is a song that demands practice and repetition.
My hat is off to you for persevering and mastering this tune!
Definitely understand the exhale at the end. Well deserved.
I am learning this song on both acoustic and electric guitars. Each guitar lends a unique ambience to a truly lovely song. The only reason I favor the acoustics is because the electrics don’t fare well at a campfire or similar get together.
Thank-you for posting this as a AVoYP. You have inspired me to keep plugging away at it.
That was lovely. I agree, you should do more AVOYPs.
When someone says something is “relatively easy” you should always, before committing to it, ask “relative to what?”
Hi Tony @TonyHS
Thank you very much ,yes it does indeed seem more like an acoustic thing at first glance especially in our early days for the most, welcome to this rabbit hole and above all have fun with it, start with happy birthday and work your way up
Greetings,
Hi Robert @ChasetheDream
Thank you
how wonderful it is to complain a little about this, I think he does it especially for it
the piece of C with high g was my biggest problem for a long time, and from one moment to the next it was good??? practice practice …and sometimes it helps me if I say a problem out loud…
Nice if I can be an inspiration even if only for a small spark, have fun with it and read this way many people want to learn it so we will see many more versions
Greetings…
Hi Ian @theoldman66
Thank you…
Relative to grade 3 stuff you would think … relatively playing with your teeth like Jimi H Roadhous while balancing on a unicycle clap his hands does not seem logical to me
Greetings
Rogier…
…which means anything! I think he does know his stuff and knows what he says…a lot of Food for Thought here…just so much!
Btw, you can send flowers in the weekend as I’ll be up to 2000mt and it’ll be very cool there
What a great arrangement. I think I have my next project.
May I ask where you got the tabs from?
Greetings,
Kevin
Hi Silvia @Silvia80
Errrrr…I just think that if I had practiced and consolidated everything (as taught) perfectly and learned really really well the song(S) the way I was taught then …but that’s not so fun to say …
oke…sorry Justin,my bad …
Have a fab weekend
Hi Kevin @GreenRider
Thank you and good I get someone like you triggered and have not scared off … Justinguitar-tabs this comes from, so you can only arrive via an abo on the Tabs, it is also Justin’s arrangement
Greetings
Dear Rogier…that’s pretty much relatable indeed … what do we have to do…all roads lead to Rome anyway, see you there! And do take my bow for the great job you did with this one…couldn’t help have a re-listen with my late breakfast today
Wow! Rogier, you smashed that!
Finger style to me is a mystery but it’s obvious you are fluent in this foreign language I can’t speak. The delicate phrasing and subtle changes in dynamics show a touch honed through many focused hours of diligent effort.
Well done on a fabulous performance and thank you for sharing (adding my name to the call for more… please! )!
What a cool version Rogier, well played! Yeah I also don’t like when Justin says “relatively easy”, it’s a big red flag
It doesn’t matter how many takes it, er, took, this was worth all of your effort.
Ooo Silvia @Silvia80 ,
Just and
Hi Jeff @nzmetal
Weel you also deserves a kiss …you also deserve a kiss … but are you waiting for that?
Thank you ,the way you play you can certainly get this done if you wanted to, you know that too dear upside down living resident
The following will be a thing with a backing track and today i started again with …Is there anybody out there… i already did but not on video…prrrressure
Hi Mark @Notter
O my…it is a thing for us
Thank you ,for listening and reading ,glad you liked it
Greetings I wouldn’t know what to do without all of you…
Oh yes maybe play the guitar more
Always!
Thank you!
Can’t wait!!!
Roger, an iconic song that you’ve made your own. Not too twangy for my ears at all; I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I like your studio acoustics treatment.
Hi Jeff @nzmetal
Hi Dave @oldhead49
Thank you for your comment
And that you like my acoustic treatment because I know who says it
Greetings
Hi Andrea, @Helen0609
Yoehoe
Is there anybody out there?
Tried it a year and a half ago but tucked it away in my LearningLog because it has a big (and some small)mistake in it and no video included…I recorded this on my looper and then put my phone in front of my amp because I was recording it on the with video image sound is really very bad, and with a song like this unbearable … no idea yet how I’m going to do that without a DAW again soon
Greetings and have a great day
Doesn’t that guitar playing take all our time step by step ? The more we progress, the more demanding we get with ourselves…
Same here: used to record just audio with my phone (good mic), everything fine then added video recordings without tripod, not so fine as phone couldn’t be placed safe, like you I bought a tripod with remote, cool, but phone now is placed too far away to get the audio as good as before => mic? => interface => DAW…
Will keep me busy…one leads to another…
Have a nice weekend,
greetings, Andrea
Hi Rogier,
Relatively easy compared to what? Lol.
Thought you did a great job of what looks quite tricky to me.
That ringing bass note sounds great.
Brill song - very well played.
