It has something that hooked me right from the beginning, cool, relatable lyrics and a nice melody. The chorus goes right to my head and will remain there a little while as an ear worm.

Thanks so much Lisa. The chorus was the part that started this song and came into my head as I watched the rain fall. The rest just seemed to fall from the sky with the rain

Awesome! Especially how your songs just come to you. Pretty nice natural sound while recording sitting out on your porch. I heard no background sounds from my AirPods. Just heard the effects of a beautiful rainy day. Good job, Eddie!

Thank you Pamela. I don’t write many songs but the ones I do seem to just come to me. It probably suits me that way, in that I never really overthink or try to force what I am doing. Sometimes it sounds good and more often than not it doesn’t. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.

Rainy days?
It’s been rather wet off the western coats of mainland Europe recently Eddie.
Northern Ireland had an average of 185.4mm of rain in July, above the previous record of 185.2mm set in July 1936.
Good vibes for the inspiration and throwing a song together in short time, it has bags of potential depending on whether you want to continue crafting and finessing it or leaving it as a finished piece, rough edges and all.
Bravo.

That was terrific Eddie, simple and to the point. A lyric we can all equate to. The stuck chords seem to be popular in the Community at the moment and it’s amazing what can be done with that type of progression.
I liked the rawness of the song and the fact that you put it together quickly and performed on your porch. Yes, with more work it might gain more musical finesse but the song would loose it’s immediacy and simplicity.

Thanks Richard. Yes my parents have informed me how wet it has been in Ireland this summer 
. Summers here are pretty hot and rainy days are rare so it’s nice every now and then to see the rain and cool down.
I might just leave the song as it is, as usually when I try to overthink or force something it doesn’t turn out as well.

From a guitar playing perspective, great technique on the stuck chords and the strumming rhythm with the accents.
Yes, tagging is done by the Mods and kept super simple.
