Come Together - The Beatles

Always been a huge Beatles fan. Here’s a cover of Come Together.
I got a new toy, so all the drums / percussion is me actually hitting and kicking things - apologies to any real drummers out there. You have my total respect.
I have had to simplify some of the iconic drum parts, and I’ve left out the keyboards on this one, but the essence is still there - I hope!

Wow! Great performance, congrats. I like your arrangement and the vocal which sounds cool and it’s not an easy song to sing. The solo is fine, too. The only very humble and highly subjective issue I could raise is that the drum track is just a little bit too loud. Just my honest opinion, which, I’m sure, many people will disagree with.

Great job, Paul, playing and singing plus video production.

Haha, one man band! How the heck you strang all that together?!?!?!?

Well done! Impressively multi-talented. You did great on this Beatles classic.

Haha - yes, I think you are right. This is what happens when you focus so much on the drums :). I’ve lowered them a bit in the mix now.
Thanks for the kind words Tomasz.

Cheers David - appreciate it.

Thanks for the listen James! None of the parts is particularly difficult, just takes patience and Garageband

Thanks Pamela - so much fun to put together!

That was fun Paul. Glad to see you enjoying the new pad system. You n Phil need to team up for some double trouble. Nice cover of an old classic. :+1:

Super job, Paul, very impressive. I’m sure John, George and Ringo would have been pleased with your solo performance.

Excellent Paul!
A real enjoyable cover of that song.

I’m a big fan of the Beatles too. And I do several covers of their songs. But not that one. It needs all parts covered and you did it! Great job!

Thanks for the share.
Rock On!

Sounding very laid back there Paul - very nice piece of production! Agree about the drumming = it’s harder than they make it look

One and one and one is three. Is that why you did the vid this way, or is it because you’re a maths junky and like to multiply?

I enjoyed the performance.

If you like this song, here’s a very different cover of this song from Beat Root Revival, a duo that is a favorite of mine. I had just listened to it again before I came to Justin’s and saw your post!

Cheers Toby - t’was fun to put together too

Thanks James … Ringo perhaps not so much

Cheers Boris!

Thanks Jon - one part at a time! Each on their own is easy enough

Cheers Jim!

Thanks John!

Absolutely!

Thanks Eddie - appreciate it!

Thanks Marla - I had a lot of fun putting it all together - yes, it’s a great song

 During my degree I remember having to prove 1+2=3 from basic axiomatic principles, it takes a couple of densely written sides of A4 paper
I listened to a lot of covers while preparing this, my personal favourite was from Gary Clark Junior - well worth checking out

Paul

Really enjoyable version of a deceptively simple sounding song: you’ve done a great job on this. I know others have questioned the loudness of the drums: I think there may be a slight issue timing / co-ordination wise; where you show your foot tapping/kicking some piece of kit (you can tell I’m not a drummer), on the playback that seems to me to be coming in slightly to early and confusing the rhythm of the piece. Well played.

Cheers Mal! Drumming is hard - respect to those who can!

Thanks for the listen Brian - I wouldn’t be at all surprised if my timing was out in places - even using a click track drumming is tough, particularly arm/leg independence. I probably should have started with something easier, but that’s never been my way
