Goin' Down Slow

Hi everyone,

Hope you all have had a nice christmas.

Below a newly recorded video of me playing some acoustic blues.

For the ones interested in the history of the song.
I’ve learned the song from listening to Eric Bibb and he got it from Mance Lipscomb, who recorded it in 1960. (album 'Texas Songster)
The song was written by St. Louis Jimmy, with a first recoding in 1941.

@DavidP, I tried to get the bass note to be more articulate in comparison with my previous recording. Overall I think it does, but maybe I should experiment a bit with the set up of the mics.

@twistor59, got myself a beat ring as you suggested earlier and tried to incorporate it. Not always that easy, but a lot fun. Thanks for the tip.

Hope everyone enjoy’s it.

You should definitely give it a go. There are a lot of easy blues rhythms.

Thanks for the listen and comments Milos.

Sounded great, Sebastian, and I think you succeeded with the bass notes coming through more clearly when played.

Tambourine is an interesting idea. Quite notable how much volume/projection that sound has, really comes through strong.

Excellent! RG

Thanks David.
The tambourine is the next step to the one man band

Enjoyed that very much. Thought the bass notes came through well and I liked the tambourine, I might have to try that.
