I did not know that had happened. It must have been David or Lieven keeping things tidy and unaware that the original poster wanted and intended to create a stand-alone topic.

Got it. I appreciate the follow up comment. I love this board and the folks (even those that disagree with me) & mods here. You guys rock!
Well I am confused because that is what the OP did with the thread you said that was locked.
ie a separate post in respect GL passing. I’ve no issue with that. So guess we agree.
I think so. Yeah, the Justin board has room for all of the flavors. We can have the catch all thread and the stand alone as well. Everyone is served.
Renown Bassist JOHN GIBLIN has passed away. He passed this past Sunday, May 14th at 71 years in South West, England. He had supposedly been battling illness for years, and when John Goodsall last chatted with him about four years ago, the talk was as much about health as it was music. Goods had said that Giblin was happy that John had gotten Brand X to reform and was glad to hear the new band was getting such a great response in the live shows. Goods had hoped Giblin would come see Brand X on an upcoming tour in the U.K. (subsequently postponed due to Covid, then rescheduled, and rescheduled again before Goods’ passing in 2021).
Giblin was well loved by many, and a highly respected player, not only for his session work, but as well as live touring, like with SIMPLE MINDS. He was a formidable force on both Electric Bass as well as Acoustic, and worked with KATE BUSH on five of her albums and was again with Bush back in 2014 on her “Before The Dawn” shows. Giblin also worked with PETER GABRIEL, JON ANDERSON (Yes) on his fantastic “Animation” (which Morris Pert also plays on) ANNIE LENNOX, PHIL COLLINS, JOHN MARTYN, OSIBISA, SCOTT WALKER, and PETER ERSKINE of Weather Report, to name a few…
I just read, that Tina Turner died at age 83 in Switzerland. What an iconic singer!
RIP Tina one of the best entertainers ever, she was more than just a singer
Could not have put it better. Great performer. As sad day indeed.
I read it yesterday just before going to sleep, and thought about it for quite a long time, what a great power on stage…and unfortunately also the first moment of my young self that I realized that such bad things happened to people in there own home and that they stay with there partner…I was in shock that this happened to someone and then someone I “knew”??? the rest of my life always thinking about it for a second or more whenever I saw her on the television…and last week when I was practicing this…Proud Mary - lesson I just keep thinking about this…
To be more precise as in my initial post: She was a force of nature ! One of the most impressive performers. Her presence was extraordinary.
One of the absolute best… much more than «just» an artist.
RIP♥️
Heard a great quote in a Tina Turner radio tribute…
Heaven will be a livelier place tonight
I remember seeing her at the NEC Birmingham back in 1990, 10 rows from the front. She certainly knew how to put on a show.

Loved the Groundhogs back in the day, so much blues inspired music.
