That is very sad news. He was a great singer.
Just seen that as well. Have her first two albums which are excellent.
Jeeper not expecting that ! RIP Sinead,
She maked some fine music, and did and sayed amazing thing…
Sad but not a surprise at all.
What a loss to the world
Always very sad. Some great music. A troubled soul no more .
Such a beautiful and talented woman who always tried to live her life her way - however that may have been received by others. Strange timing also, that as I was leaving a class last night I was listening to Mandinka at full blast in the car on he way home.
RIP

Talented artist, but such a sad life. Always felt sorry for her. RIP Sinead
For people who want some context to the above, watch the documentary Nothing Compares …
Full of admiration and sometimes with goosebumps and a tear I watched it a few months ago, not suitable for a cozy Saturday evening…
Robbie Robertson Founding member of The Band Passed away today at 80.
RIP Robbie One of Canada’s biggest stars
The world will miss you
The irony of it is that there is perhaps no one that defines the genre of Americana better that Robbie Robertson and The Band. Giants.
Thank you Robbie for your positive influence on the world of music. Another great Canadian lost this year.
You join a growing list of Native Americans including Jimmie Hendrix, Tony Joe White, Link Wray and many others that changed the world of music we listen to today.
This week the music world lost Sixto Rodriguez. Had little success in his native USA but huge in South Africa and, to a lesser extent, Australia and New Zealand.
I’m from Detroit, his is an incredible story.
I was sad to hear Rodriguez had died. ‘Searching for Sugarman’ documentary was a fascinating and intriguing story of his ‘death’ and rebirth that I watched a few years ago. I like his songs ‘Crucify your Mind’ and ‘Cause’ that tackle thought provoking issues and stir up powerful emotions. RIP Sixto Rodriguez.
